Provides Wellness Centers located in the Bay Shore School District to educate the participating students into a lifelong commitment of regular exercise and physical fitness, good nutrition and the avoidance of tobacco use. Works in collaboration between the Bay Shore School District, Good Samaritan Hospital and Southside Hospitals, Adelphi University, and the Suffolk County Department of Health.

Staff works with other agencies to design programming and provide education in Suffolk County communities in an effort to prevent disease, disability and premature death. In particular, we are working to reduce behaviors that lead to the development of co-morbidities such as cancer, diabetes obesity and smoking/vaping.
