Provides a Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC) that helps individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities explore life needs and wants by assisting them in gaining access to necessary supports and services. Call for further information.

Senior Benefits Information Centers (SBICs) help adults 60 and older, and those caring for the elderly, achieve a better understanding of Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage (Part D prescription drug coverage, Medicare Advantage, Medic-Gap). Information and counseling is provided about different types of government programs, including federal and state financial assistance programs, and county-wide benefits. You can meet one-on-one with a trained counselor at one of our library-based locations. Spanish interpreter can be made available by appointment.

Administers Social Security Trust Fund to provide retirement, disability or death benefits to insured workers or their dependents/survivors medicare for aged 65 and over Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the needy over 65, blind or disabled. Provides essential medical services for persons receiving Public Assistance and other low-income persons. Services covered include inpatient and outpatient hospital care, physician services, skilled nursing care, laboratory and x-ray services, early and periodic screening of children, home health care services and transportation services. Assists individuals and families in completing the Access NY Health Care Application for health insurance through Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus or Medicare Part D.
