Offers assistance with medical bills, treatments, equipment, transportation, and household expenses to families whose child has been diagnosed with cancer.

Program is for children birth to 21 years of age who have a serious or chronic physical condition and who require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that typically required by children. Assists families in paying for medical expenses and insurance co-pays.

Provides assistance to individuals in WNY who have been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Grants could cover any expense associated with the disease that is not covered through another means. Families receiving the assistance will be encouraged to donate all usable equipment and other items after they are no longer needed. Organizations such as the MDA's Loan Closet will make the equipment available to other families in need.

Provides assistance to patients and families who are experiencing unexpected transportation expenses, as the result of hospital visits or treatment center visits. Assistance may also be provided for food and lodging.

Provides limited supplementary financial assistance to help with home health care, child care, and transportation to and from treatment. Additionally, helps people with cancer overcome financial access and treatment barriers by assisting them with co-payments for their prescribed treatments. Basic family monthly income and application form must be filled out.

Helps Chenango County individuals when they are diagnosed with cancer and cannot afford treatment or the additional finantial burdons that come with treatment.

Provides small grants to patients who meet financial and medical criteria, to help pay for non-medical related needs including transportation to treatment, temporary housing and lodging, utilities or nutrition related to the medical diagnosis.

Considers applications for assistance, except cash, from Tompkins County residents on limited budgets with illness-related situations.Cases judged on their own merits. Help can take many forms, i.e., service supplier could receive direct payment on behalf of the person.

Assists with transportation to medical appointments. Assistance can take the form of reimbursement or special needs transportation arrangement.

Provides outreach to Veterans identified as at risk of suicide, provides a baseline mental health assessment to potential participants in the program, and provides the following services for eligible participants: - Coordination of emergency treatment for participants, including coverage of any initial monetary charges for treatment, as long as the participant receives ongoing clinical services through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Case management with a holistic, individualized approach - Peer support - Assistance in obtaining VA benefits, including but not limited to vocational and rehabilitation services, employment and training services, educational assistance, housing assistance, and health care (including mental health care) services - Assistance in obtaining and coordinating with other public benefits for crisis-related needs, including health care services, daily living services, legal services, personal financial planning, credit counseling, and employment and vocational services - Eligible temporary income support assistance - Transportation assistance in the form of public transportation tokens - Childcare payment assistance for children under the age of 13 - General suicide prevention stability assistance, which can assist participants with funds to cover anything that may be contributing to a suicidal factor specific to a participant - Other suicide prevention services that are necessary for improving mental health such as adaptive sports, equine therapy, indoor or outdoor recreational therapy, substance use reduction programming, and individual, group, or family counseling All financial assistance is provided directly to third parties for services to veterans, and funds do not go directly to veterans themselves. ##Veteran##
