Healthy Kids is a joint endeavor between Samaritan Hospital and Rensselaer County Department of Social Services This is a unique home visitation program. The program is voluntary and free to participants. Family support workers provide a range of services, including childbirth education, infant care and child development, family planning options, assistance with obtaining transportation, meal planning, and referral to community agencies.

The Maternal and Child Health goal is to improve the health of Warren County families with a particular focus on mothers, babies and children. Postpartum care and evaluation, newborn care, breastfeeding support, child health, health education parenting support and immunization.

Maternity Center provides prenatal programs, baby care and safety courses, intensive care for premature newborns and those with health problems, full range of prenatal testing, classes in childbirth, Lamaze and breast feeding. The Center has its own entry and parking lot. An orientation for expectant parents is held every Saturday at 9am; call for reservations as space is limited.

SLC provides a birthing center that focuses on all aspects of pregnancy, from testing, option counseling, labor and delivery, high-risk, infertility, prenatal and post partum care.
