St. Mary's Pregnancy Care Assistance Center (PCAP) offers routine pregnancy medical check-ups: lab work and access to specialsts: information about pregnancy, labor and delivery: help in applying for other programs such as WIC and low-cost or no-cost health insurance for women and their families: full health care until at least two months after delivery: and health care for baby for at least one year after birth. Women and teens who are pregnant and meet certain income guidelines can receive medical care throughout pregnancy and delivery, and may be eligible even if they have health insurance. The Prenatal Assistance Program is located at the St. Mary's Carondelet Health Center on Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam. All pregnancy care is confidential.

Provides birthing and in-hospital midwifery services as well as other perinatal services including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to treat critically ill or premature infants.

Services include: Prenatal Care, Routine Prenatal Care, High Risk Pregnancy Care, Nutritional Guidance, Medicaid/PCAP Certification, Social Services, WIC and FAN Referrals, HIV Counseling and Testing, Perinatal Consultation, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Screening, Gynecology, Routine Exams, Post Partum Follow Up, Endometrical Biopsies, Follow-up Care from the Emergency Department, Referrals for Mammography and Gynecology Oncology, Pediatric Services, Immunizations, General Health Physicals, Sick Visists, Hearing and Vision Screenings, Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiac Evaluation, Ongoing Cardiac Follow-up, Pediatric Asthma/Allergy, Allergy Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, Nebulization and Patient Education, Neonatal High Risk, Infant Follow-up Care, Social Service Referrals, Synagis Immunizations, and Prophylactic Immunization for infants at risk for RSV. Provides low cost, high quality health care, with primary focus on prevention. Services in health center include gynecological exams, birth control, pregnancy testing, screening for breast and cervical cancer, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections for both men and women, HIV/AIDS counseling and testing for both men and women, prenatal care, first trimester surgical and medical abortion, infertility workup, emergency contraception, HPV vaccines, LGBT services, and men;s health services. A Social Worker is onsite. PCAP and Title X Family Planning Programs (FPEP and FPBP) are available. Counseling is an integral part of Planned Parenthood of Nassau County's patient care.

Offers several resources to help ensure children get a strong start for a healthy life. Programs include: Early Intervention – a voluntary developmental evaluation and services program offered by New York State and administered locally by the Nassau County Department of Health Office for Children with Special Needs; Preschool Special Education - provides services to children who are 3 to 5 years old with developmental delays and/or educational needs; WIC - Special Supplemental Foods Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC provides nutritious foods as well as nutrition counseling and education for its participants; Lead Poisoning & Prevention – Offers information to prevent lead poisoning in children; Cribs for Kids - providing a safe-sleep education program for parents and caregivers which includes the intervention of a safety-approved crib if the family cannot otherwise afford one; Healthy Moms & Babies - Resource center to promote the well-being of childbearing women, infants, their families and communities.; Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) –provides referrals and information about resources in your community that help benefit children with special health care needs and their families; Child Fatality Review Team - review child deaths to better understand the causes of these deaths and to make recommendations based on the team's findings in order to reduce future child fatalities; and the 4th Trimester – resources to help moms with taking care of themselves with Post-Partum Depression, breast feeding and more.
