Provides evaluations for Cattaraugus County children whose parents have concerns with their child's developmental achievements. Areas of development assessment are: cognitive, physical (including vision and hearing), social/emotional, adaptive development, and communication. After assessment, if the child meets eligibility she or he will receive services through the Early Intervention Program. Child Find, part of the Early Intervention program, aims to make sure that all children have a primary care physician and insurance coverage as well as promote the availability of developmental screening and necessary services.

A voluntary developmental evaluation and services program offered by New York State and administered locally by the Erie County Department of Health. Serves children from birth through 2 years of age and their families where there is a high risk of delay, a suspected delay in development, or a confirmed diagnosis of developmental disability. A variety of therapeutic and support services are offered to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Services for eligible children and their families include: - Periodic developmental screening and tracking of at risk children - Service coordination for eligible children and families - Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) - Provision of early intervention services in the IFSP at no cost to parents - Delivery of services in natural settings in the community where children of the same age are typically found, to the maximum extent appropriate

Provides multidisciplinary evaluation to determine if child is in need of services individual therapy sessions (speech, occupational and physical therapies) applied behavior analysis (ABA) and individual and group special education. Also offers parent workshops (educational and support groups) and consultations and conferences with parents. A Mommy and Me Class is also available. Services can be provided in home or at school.

The Intervention Services Division provides services for developmentally delayed and physically handicapped children from birth through age 5.

Trained, experienced parents of children with disabilities in provide initial and ongoing early intervention service coordination. Other services include professional diagnostic evaluations of children with developmental delays, and audiology services, and helping parents manage the care needs of their child.

Rehabilitative services offered to children ages birth to 5 years suspected or diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or delay, and offers education advocacy for preschool age children which help parents to learn about support services and educational options.

Provides services to children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or have a diagnosed disability, who are determined eligible for service based upon evaluations. Provides comprehensive educational services for 3 to 5 year-old students with multiple physical and developmental disabilities. The educational curriculum and therapeutic design of the program focuses on skill development through traditional teaching methods while engaging the most up to date technologies available. Classroom activities stress academic and readiness skills, social and play skills. Experiential learning through exploration, manipulation, imitation, and socialization are keys to successful skill acquisition. A cross-disciplinary approach allows for classroom activities that develop the skills necessary for day-to-day life. Communication skills are reinforced throughout the school day in an engineered aided language environment, which uses visual strategies and state of the art assistive technology enabling students to make their needs known in each communication environment (e.g., therapy room, classroom, gym). Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child’s education. Support services are provided by physical and occupational therapists, speech therapists, school psychologist and school social worker as well as nursing staff and a consulting physician. CCCCNC hosts Developmental Screening services for newborns to children aged 5 years old. At these screenings you will receive free, valuable feedback on your child’s development by early childhood specialists.

Provides support services to young children with developmental delays in their homes and other community settings. Special education, speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, and counseling can be provided in daycare, preschools and family homes. Teaching in the natural environment focuses on sensory and language rich activities, adaptive living skills, and social skill development, as well as building attention and pre-readiness skills. For young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Center for Spectrum Services can design home programs employing a verbal behavior approach following the principles of applied behavioral analysis. Each child's program is individually designed to meet their unique learning style and level of family participation.

Provides a number of programs and services for medically fragile and technology dependent. This facility containsts the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country, along with skilled nursing, rehabilitative care, and a state-of-the-art respiratory care program. In addition, provides an on-site private school and day care for medically fragile and technology dependent children.

This program provides both an early intervention and preschool program, which assesses the level of each child's abilities and prepare a program to build on their strengths. Class sizes range from 6-12 children, and offer half and full day sessions.

Provides evaluation and intervention for children who begin to show delays in development in the first few months and years.

Provides pre-school and school-age programs for 0-21 year olds who are multiply handicapped with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Also provides visual, auditory and speech education to children birth-5 years who suffer from intellectual or developmental disabilities, multiple handicaps and delayed speech. Transdisciplinary staff includes social workers, psychologists, therapists and medical support team. Family support and crisis intervention counseling provided.

DBCH provides an Early Intervention program for young children with developmental disabilities or delays. Offers an evaluation and if eligible receives services to enhance the child's growth and development.

The Early Intervention program which encompasses Applied Behavior Analysis, is a half-day session and designed according to each child's Individual Family Service Plan. Also provides one-to-one home-based instruction.

Independent Living provides a bridge between the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing cultures in Orange, Ulster, Sullivan and Dutchess Counties, this program is actively engaged in community outreach and education, employment, advocacy, service coordination, counseling and technical support.

Provides various support services to families with children. Services include information and referrals related to raising children, testing for children who may shows signs of delay, along with parent skills classes and parent/child groups. Training and professional development opportunities for child care providers on all aspects of early childhood development, early care and learning.

Provides core evaluations, service coordination and treatment for children with developmental delays, at home or at other natural settings.

Programs that identify infants and toddlers who show evidence of risk for lags in physical development, cognitive development, language and speech development, psychosocial development or self-help skills.

Provides an Early Intervention(EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) related services for children ages 0-5 who have developmental delays in areas including: communication, physical and motor, cognitive, social and emotional, and adaptive skills. Performs evaluations in all areas including diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. Offers individual treatment plans including: speech and language therapy, including PROMPT physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parent counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), audiological services and education of the visually and hearing impaired. Offers bilingual services and evaluations, parent support groups, family training and transition counseling. School aged services through the Committee on Special Education (CSE) provided as indicated on the child's IEP. Trainings and workshops provided to schools, daycare and parent groups. Provides therapeutic preschool, nursery school, and therapeutic services to children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Children with diagnosed disabilities and developmental delays are educated with typically developing nursery school peers. Provides evaluation and services in the areas of special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, vision therapy, counseling, social work services and psychological services. Consent for evaluation required through school district of residence. Infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years receive in-home evaluations. If eligible, services are provided in natural environments (home/community/day care facilities) through the Early Intervention Program as authorized by Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.

Provides developmental evaluations for young children, which is a comprehensive assessment of all areas of functioning including cognitive skills, motor development, communication, social/emotional development, and adaptive/personal care skills. The results of the evaluation, including a full written report, are shared with parents. If the child is eligible for services, it is determined the type, frequency and location of services. If appropriate, services can be offered in the home, daycare or preschool, or within a therapeutic setting such as a specialized school program.
