Aids individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in making choices and finding individualized services. They provide help in navigating through available services including assistance with eligibility determination, service coordination, and advocacy services. Service coordination is also available to children ages birth to 3 years old who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability or delay.

Provides clinical services to individuals with disabilities and their families including treatment coordination during the eligibility process and while accessing additional agency services; advocacy with other agencies when additional services are needed; psychological services including assessments and therapy; social work; nursing services; nutrition services and rehabilitation counseling. This program is for infants and toddlers who are delayed in their development or have a diagnosed disability. Delays may be in physical development, learning or cognitive, speech or language, social or emotional and self-help skills.

Provides assessment and treatment for children who show signs of developmental delays or disabilities.

Offers a center based program for 2-5 year olds with delays in speech/language/cognitive learning areas with or without presence of hearing loss. One full day session is offered from 9:20am to 2:40pm. An integrated class comprised of both disabled and non-disabled students is also offered.

A mental health consultation program that improves child care program quality and provides assessment and psycho-social support to pre-school children, parents, and child care center staff to support children's healthy emotional development.

Provides an Early Intervention(EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) related services for children ages 0-5 who have developmental delays in areas including: communication, physical and motor, cognitive, social and emotional, and adaptive skills. Performs evaluations in all areas including diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. Offers individual treatment plans including: speech and language therapy, including PROMPT physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parent counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), audiological services and education of the visually and hearing impaired. Provides therapeutic preschool, nursery school, and therapeutic services to children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Children with diagnosed disabilities and developmental delays are educated with typically developing nursery school peers. Provides evaluation and services in the areas of special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, vision therapy, counseling, social work services and psychological services. Consent for evaluation required through school district of residence. Infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years receive in-home evaluations. If eligible, services are provided in natural environments (home/community/day care facilities) through the Early Intervention Program as authorized by Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.

Provides multidisciplinary evaluation to determine if child is in need of services individual therapy sessions (speech, occupational and physical therapies) applied behavior analysis (ABA) and individual and group special education. Also offers parent workshops (educational and support groups) and consultations and conferences with parents. A Mommy and Me Class is also available. Services can be provided in home or at school.

Rehabilitative services offered to children ages birth to 5 years suspected or diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or delay, and offers education advocacy for preschool age children which help parents to learn about support services and educational options.

Provides early intervention for children birth to five, including speech/language therapy, physical and occupational therapy, special education (self-contained and integrated classes), adapted physical education, computer education, play therapy and family counseling. Specializes in serving children in need of a highly structured learning environment and present with autism spectrum disorders or PDD (pervasive development disorder). Classes are small, allowing for an intensive learning environment. Students learn appropriate on-task "school-like" behaviors and how to be as independent as possible. CRC utilized the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to shape behaviors and teach new skills through repetition and reinforcement. Instruction targets Activities of Daily Living (ADL). A progressive total communication system is utilized including spoken words, photographs, pictures, symbols and/or sign language to increase communication skills. The Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) is used to engage students in a social exchange for requesting and/or communicating their needs. Additionally, we have specially trained staff that may address any mealtime management concerns, such as limited food repertoire. A collaborative team including teachers, social workers, psychologist, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and administrative personnel strives to meet the individualized educational needs of each child. All students benefit from an adapted physical education and music program. Family input is encouraged and parent training is provided throughout the school year. Provides developmental evaluations for young children, which is a comprehensive assessment of all areas of functioning including cognitive skills, motor development, communication, social/emotional development, and adaptive/personal care skills. The results of the evaluation, including a full written report, are shared with parents. If the child is eligible for services, it is determined the type, frequency and location of services. If appropriate, services can be offered in the home, daycare or preschool, or within a therapeutic setting such as a specialized school program.
