Provides various therapy services for those recovering from surgery, illness, or disability. The rehab staff utilizes the best exercise equipment available to improve movement, strength, endurance and function in order to assist patients back to their optimal level of activity.

Provides weekly programs at the Batavia Senior Center. Some of the programs offered are bridge, line dancing, cribbage, arthritis chair-based exercise, quilters, and painting classes. New groups are always being organized. Special programs such as 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course, educational, health, and informational programs are also offered. Day trips to concerts, exhibits, musical productions, restaurants, and areas of special interest are also scheduled in the spring, summer, and fall. Senior groups and clubs exist in most areas of the county which offer luncheons and pot luck dinners. Most groups offer programs of interest, entertainment, day trips, and other recreational activities.

Provides activities including bingo, coffee and conversation, seasonal arts and crafts, fitness classes including yoga, lectures, and creative arts. Offers recreational trips and engaging classes and trainings through University Express and other partners. Programs meet at several locations on the West Side. A hot lunch is offered every weekday through the Erie County Department of Senior Services’ Stay Fit Dining Program. The Childrenâs Rehabilitation Center is located on the same site as the White Plains campus of the John A. Coleman School.Services include: physical, occupational, speech and language pathology, aquatic and feeding therapies. Medical specialties include, but are not limited to: orthopedics, physiatry, ophthalmology, neurology, neonatology, pediatrics and audiology. In addition, brace, orthotic and adaptive equipment clinics, psychological and social work services, and Care at Home case management services are provided.

Exercise specialists and physical therapists frequently work with people with disabilities.
