Whitney Young is one of the largest providers in the Capital Region of travel immunizations. It is best to schedule travel immunizations at least 4-6 weeks before one's trip, especially if a series of injections is needed. It is important to be aware that it takes about two full weeks for full immunity (protection from disease) to develop.

Immunizations are provided to both adults and children as needed for both school and work. Immunizations that are available include Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td), Hepatitis B, Pneumococcal polysaccharide (PPV) and the basic childhood vaccines (DTaP, HIB, IPV, Varicella,& Pneumococcal conjugate). PPD skin testing for tuberculosis is also offered and requires a return visit to have the site evaluated 48 to 72 hours after placement.
