Provides services to the public using currently accepted dental hygiene procedures to provide optimum care for each patient. The Radiology Department utilizes up to date technology in all radiologic procedures including routine radiographs, panoramic and digital radiography. All treatment provided in our facility is supervised by registered dental hygienists and dentists employed by the State University of New York. The Dental Hygiene Care Center follows all CDC and ADA guidelines to keep our students, faculty, staff and the public safe. Services Include: Complete Medical History; Oral Cancer Screening; Blood Pressure Screening; Home Care Instruction; Dental Nutritional Counseling; Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy; Scaling, including quadrant scaling; Periodontal Screening; Root Planing; Selective Polishing; Fluoride Treatment; Periodontal Maintenance Therapy; Pit and Fissure Sealant Application; Radiographs/Digital Radiography and Tooth Whitening. The services of the Dental Hygiene Care Center are made available to the public at a nominal fee. The fees collected for services are used to defray the costs of operation of the Care Center. Patient fees are essential to maintain the services of the Care Center. Facilities for the disabled are available. Call the Dental Hygiene Car Center with any questions.
