Local partners are working together to help community members learn how to access construction job opportunities in Central New York. Syracuse Build, supported by CenterState CEO in partnership with the NYS Department of Labor and CNY Works, is hosting weekly information sessions for individuals interested in careers in construction and the building trades.
Information sessions are held every Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at CNY Works, located at 960 James Street in Syracuse.
No experience is required. Due to limited space, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be accepted if space is available. During the session, you will learn about:
- Job opportunities and qualifications for regional construction projects, including Micron and I-81
- Step-by-step guidance on how to join a local construction union
- Benefits of union membership
- Available training programs and apprenticeship opportunities
- Resume writing and interview strategies
These sessions are hosted in partnership with CNY Works and the New York Department of Labor. For questions or additional information, please contact Danielle Szabo at 216-551-7114 or [email protected]
