FATHERS COUNT | FAMILY SERVICES OF WESTCHESTER

Provides support to fathers who are getting ready to be released from jail,are ex-offenders, or on probation and want to be a better dad and provider to the family. The program identifies each father's challenges and links them to community resources. Participants attend a 12-session workshop where they will learn, practice and strengthen specific parenting skills, communication, conflict resolution, anger management, including financial literacy training, pre-job skills, resume writing, interviewing skills, and employment support to help improve their economic stability.

Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building - NFHA

Provides educational, recreational, and self-sufficiency programming for residents and the nearby community. Facility has a 226-seat theater, banquet hall, gymnasium, locker room, multi-purpose rooms, commercial kitchen, library, and computer training lab. Vocational rehabilitation provides HSED (formerly GED), career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations residing 20 miles of all Seneca Nation territories who have a documented disability. Tribal 477 provides HSED (formerly GED), training, career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations (and children of an enrolled Seneca father) residing 25 miles of the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs territories.
