Program assists job seekers to succeed in the job market by providing guidance to improve job readiness skills, resume writing, and job search strategies. Also provides career guidance and one-on-one consulting.

Provides the following services. Employment Readiness: Career counseling, career exploration, career advisement, resume preparation, interviewing assistance, online video interview assistance, and custom made workshops. Job Search Assistance: Access to computer labs, copy service, free mailing, current job listings, labor market information, job fairs, job clubs, and "Meet the Employers" on-site career fairs, where employers are on-site to recruit and interview job seekers. Career Advancement and Training Grants: Connected education, training programs, and support services that enable individuals to secure a job or advance in an in-demand industry or occupation. Training grants available for in-demand occupations such as Nursing, HVAC, Machining, CDL, Mechanics, Accounting, and over 50 additional occupations. Job Training: High school equivalency diploma classes, soft skills classes, and training on computer and internet use, keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word. Offers education, outreach, and supportive services to the community including high school equivalency classes and life skills classes on topics such as budgeting, job readiness training, parenting, nutrition, and spirituality.

A non-profit agency providing free adult education and community resources in basic reading, writing, math, digital literacy/computer skills, English instruction, GED prep, ESOL and civics, workforce readiness, vocational training with certifications, and more. Classes and tutoring services are provided by trained volunteers and agency staff. Also provides jail transition services to assist with housing, public assistance, mental health and substance abuse, and other pertinent issues. ##REENTRY##

Offers convenient job search services to all job seekers. Current Job leads available daily. Interviewing for jobs, job referral, employment counseling, employment workshops, referral to training including TAA (Trade Adjustment Act). Every Career Center has dedicated staff to help assess the needs, skills, and interests of job seekers. Job seekers are guided through a step-by-step approach to the job search. Veterans Services: Offers Priority of Service to veterans and their eligible spouses. This means that persons who served on Active Duty in the United States Armed Forces will: - Be served first by the next available staff member - Get first priority for jobs and training for which they are eligible and qualified ##Veteran##

The Learning Center is a central learning site providing workshops and learning opportunities for all at-risk youth ages 14-24. Workshops are supportive, social, and psycho-educational, all aimed at individual growth to assist youth to successfully transition into adulthood. We offer workshops on: creating a resume, preparing for job interviews and employment, career/vocational training, college application prep, financial literacy, independent living /life skills coaching and much more!

Provides computer skills, hands-on training for beginners and for more experienced users. Programs are for current students, out-of-school youth, and adults. Vocational training is designed for people who are welfare recipients, the unemployed, or those seeking a career change. Programs include career counseling, evaluations, workshops and classes for job readiness, networking, job-search, resume writing, interview skills, and follow-up support service after employment. ESL training and GED assistance is available.

Provides career training such as construction skills, OSHA training, sewing and design, job counseling, interview preparation, etc.

Brings together both employers and job seekers, providing a comprehensive, one-stop approach to job search. Staffed with employment professionals from several private and public entities, the Employment Center functions as a full service human resources facility. The center supplies the job seeking customer with all the tools necessary for a self-directed or staff-assisted job search, and provides employers with facilities and workforce support. Equipped with state of the art computers, fax machines, phones, and copiers, the Employment Center also maintains job banks and specializes in job clubs, job fairs, employability and computer workshops and focus groups. Employment Center visitors are able to accomplish many tasks, whether it be to create and edit their resume, navigate the Internet for their job search. Provides opportunities for education, rejuvenation and reflection for residents,membership into community garden, staff and the community of Brentwood. Offers classes and workshops on financial literacy, computer basics, resume writing, nutrition, mental health and wellness.

Serves people who have been displaced from their careers as unpaid homemakers. It offers services to help with the challenges people in these situations often face. Some people have trouble finding: Child care; Transportation; Housing; Basic necessities; Jobs; Others may face: Emotional challenges; Medical needs and Legal problems. Services include: Crisis intervention; Counseling; Referral to community service agencies; Assertiveness training; Decision-making training; Assessment; Resume writing; Job search strategies and Job clubs. Assists individuals who are deaf-blind in learning daily living and communications skills. Assesses individual's mobility and vision needs providing both training and customized mobility tools. Provides vocational assessment, job readiness training and job placement. Refers individuals to appropriate government programs and services. Services are provided in individuals' homes, work sites and communities.

Offers a comprehensive collection of materials for career research, resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing techniques, civil service test preparation, information regarding trends in various industries and staffing, including local job postings, free internet access and self-paced computer tutorials.

Provides a family resource center with a focus on women and girls that serves women of all ages through skill building, resource coordination and empowerment.

Is a voluntary Social Security Administration program that provides several work incentives to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI) beneficiaries.
