ACCESS-VR is a vocational education, job search and other services to eligible individuals with disabilities to enable them to achieve independence through education, training, employment and support.

Offers a listing of employment opportunities for job seekers, with companies in various communities, and resume writing and assistance with unemployment benefit applications, including helping teenagers look for summer jobs. Also offer twice monthly career series which provides resume review, job application help etc.

Provides after school programs, youth drop in lounge/open gym, a youth/adult volunteer program, recreational activities, discussion groups, coffee houses, community education, Cultural Programs, Tutoring and Homework Help, employment readiness, Prevention Services (workshops for substance abuse, violence, bullying, gambling), Summer Programs (begins 1st Monday after school ends-last Friday before school begins), and Article 31 OMH Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.

Provides support to fathers who are getting ready to be released from jail,are ex-offenders, or on probation and want to be a better dad and provider to the family. The program identifies each father's challenges and links them to community resources. Participants attend a 12-session workshop where they will learn, practice and strengthen specific parenting skills, communication, conflict resolution, anger management, including financial literacy training, pre-job skills, resume writing, interviewing skills, and employment support to help improve their economic stability.

Serves individuals 18+ years of age with a psychiatric disability. Offers vocational assessment, vocational counseling, employment skills training, competitive employment placement assistance and support services.

The Rockland Community College Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) is a dropout prevention and college access program that is funded by the New York State Education Department. RCC LPP serves 340 historically excluded students (grades 7-12) in the East Ramapo, North Rockland and Nyack school districts. Rockland Community College LPP is committed to the belief that all students can learn and should have equal access to resources.

Provides a program to help adolescents and young adults to effectively secure and maintain employment on their own. Services include pre job guidance, customer services, staying organized, networking, budgeting, time management, job expectations, asking for help and dressing appropriately. The program serves as a mentor and liaison between the youth and the employer until the youth has successfully transitioned into the job.

Provides educational, recreational, and self-sufficiency programming for residents and the nearby community. Facility has a 226-seat theater, banquet hall, gymnasium, locker room, multi-purpose rooms, commercial kitchen, library, and computer training lab. Programs include: ATTAIN Lab computer classes including Microsoft Office, fundamentals of email and the internet, interview skills, resume building, employment counseling, Healthy Cooking Classes, After School Program, Kids Cafe provides after school meals for children and youth in grades K-12 which runs from September - June, "Livin' Large" tutorial program, mentoring program, youth leadership program, "Let's Talk" Teen Girls Program, and many other social, educational, and recreational activities. Assists families in becoming as independent and self-sufficient as they possibly can. This can include assistance in employment, education, parenting and nutrition. Financial management and health and safety may also be addressed. Can also coordinate transportation, assist with clothing and counseling referrals.

Assists youth and adults to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency, familiarizing them with the world of work, facilitating the creation of job opportunities, and providing services related to these activities. Vocational rehabilitation provides HSED (formerly GED), career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations residing 20 miles of all Seneca Nation territories who have a documented disability. Tribal 477 provides HSED (formerly GED), training, career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations (and children of an enrolled Seneca father) residing 25 miles of the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs territories.

Provides career training such as construction skills, OSHA training, sewing and design, job counseling, interview preparation, etc.

Provides a 6-hour babysitters training course to teach leadership skills, safety, basic care and enhance business skills for teenagers who are interested in making money through babysitting.

Provides guidance to those students looking at career choices with profile testing, pros and cons, and what classes to attend. Also offers support services to those students transferring to or from another school.

Offers vocational and educational testing, career guidance and research, individual and group counseling, job placement services, resume preparation and interview skill workshops for adults. Offers transition planning, vocational assessment, community placement and life skills programming for adolescents.

Provides outreach and admissions counseling to help youth (ages 16-24) enroll in a federal JOB CORPS program where they will receive assistance in completing their education and obtain training in various trades, on a residential campus-type setting. Call for more information.

Provides support services to those who are looking for employment, with access to job information via the computer and online resources, including workshops or pre-job guidance training. Also offers weekly conversation English classes for those who want to improve their speaking skills.

Offers a cutting-edge endeavor which brings together both employers and job seekers, providing a comprehensive, one-stop approach to job search. Staffed with employment professionals from several private and public entities, the Employment Center functions as a full service human resources facility. The center supplies the job seeking customer with all the tools necessary for a self-directed or staff-assisted job search, and provides employers with facilities and workforce support. Equipped with state of the art computers, fax machines, phones, and copiers, the Employment Center also maintains job banks and specializes in job clubs, job fairs, employability and computer workshops and focus groups. Employment Center visitors are able to accomplish many tasks, whether it be to create and edit their resume, navigate the Internet for their job search. Program assists job seekers to succeed in the job market by providing guidance to improve job readiness skills, resume writing, and job search strategies. Also provides career guidance and one-on-one consulting.

Offers easy access to the following employer services: job postings, candidate listings, information (referrals, permits, legal, etc.), economic development referrals, pre-hire testing (fee for service), recruitment, screening, job fairs, and business seminars. Also offers coordinated referrals and access to over 50 certified training programs throughout Chautauqua County and surrounding areas. Customers can obtain the following services: internet access to statewide and regional job listings, learning the best skills to acquire a job, assistance with job placement, and unemployment insurance information. Offers specialized services for youth under the age of 24. Youth summer employment opportunities may be available, depending upon funding. Resources include computer access, fax machine, telephone access (for calling employers), out of area job listings, photocopier, and professional staff assistance.

Provides Cash Assistance for recipients who are not employed to capacity but are able to work. Must enroll in the program to receive work experience, training, and the tools to return to self-sufficiency. Employment Unit can help individuals become job-ready and find a rewarding job to develop their experience, skills, and self-esteem. Job developers also work with local employers.
