Career Options provides job readiness, skill assessment, diagnostic vocational evaluation, résumé development, career counseling, job development, on the job training, and follow up services. The Vocational Centers offer job opportunities for individuals to develop and improve the skills necessary to meet their goals for employment. The Center focuses on soft skills development such as acceptance of supervision, following directions, attention to task, co-worker relationships, job completion and time management.

Computer classes are available from basic application, web design, A+ training, etc.

A referral program linking youth who want to work with homeowners who are looking for area youth to perform small tasks around the house.
Provides families with the chance to learn about, interact with and enjoy animals in a natural farm setting. Offers spring, summer, fall and planting field trips throughout the year. Provides job opportunities for 30 to 40 youths at various times during the year. Also hosts annual Fall Farm Festival. Call for more information.

New York State Commission for the Blind's (NYSCB) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) offers opportunities for individuals who are blind to gain the training and skills necessary to manage one of several vending facilities located in Federal and state office buildings throughout the state. After completing an intensive training program, BEP managers become proficient in all aspects of retail management including purchasing products, controlling inventory, marketing products, maintaining good customer relations, and keeping accurate records.

This program helps eligible, disadvantaged youth with employment, and earn up to $900 to cover expenses if they get training from an authorized NY Youth Works provider. Also this program encourages businesses to hire disadvantaged adolescents and young adults.

Offers job training and support services through the work center with an assessment and building practical job skills, and under supervision the participants work and get paid for a variety of services. There is also training in janitorial, greenhouse/horticultural or customer service.
Provides young people with hands-on experience and the opportunity to explore future career choices. Participants will partake in career and financial classes and have the opportunity to meet professionals from a number of career fields.
