The Youth Services Program provides employment skills development which includes how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, time management and conflict resolution. This program also includes a job match service that provides information about jobs available in the local community and support services for the students and adults who care for (and about) them. This program is located at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Scotia-Glenville High Schools and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Community Human Services building.

Ideally you will possess innovative problem solving skills, strong organizational/time management skills and excellent interpersonal/presentation skills. Provides programs that include include open gym, Mechanicville After School Clubs, monthly dances, Summer Adventure Program, field trips, swim trips educational speakers, and workshops, and sports clinics as well as computer access.

Encourages youth to establish a good work ethic through employment and workshops. Promotes punctuality, teamwork, how to follow rules and regulations, as well as respect of self, co-workers and supervisors. At- risk youth are selected between the ages of 14-18. Interviews are held in May and orientation in June. Employment is seven weeks, Monday-Friday. Worksites are established within the community at local churches, schools, agencies, parks and beaches. Workshops are given throughout the program in areas such as Banking, Job Attitudes, Career Goals, Job Interviewing and Resume Writing. Offers middle school and high school students a fun and safe place to hangout after school. Youth get assistance with homework, are provided a healthy snack and evening meal, participate in unique learning activities, go on field trips, hear from dynamic speakers, and volunteer in the community.

Provides education, mentoring and assistance in preparing young girls ages 9-18 . Offers a comprehensive program to help youth transition into adulthood and gain economic self sufficiency through academic support, college/career exploration, mentoring and leadership opportunities.

Works to provide youth with a voice in local government; expand prevention, intervention, and counseling services for youth; provide youth workforce development and opportunities through creative partnerships; and serve at-risk youth through the Youth Counseling Program, Anti-Crime Program, and Code of Conduct Program. Also facilitates the Mayor's Summer reading Challenge and Summer Youth Employment program.

Provides young people with hands-on experience and the opportunity to explore future career choices. Participants will partake in career and financial classes and have the opportunity to meet professionals from a number of career fields.
