Offers an outpatient treatment-referral program designed to serve individuals between the ages of 12 and 35 who are at risk or who have been sexually exploited/human trafficked, at-risk of sexual exploitation/human trafficking, runaway or are homeless. Services provided include individual and family counseling, street outreach, GED classes, DSS advocacy, life skills education, housing assistance, and education and job placement and are tailored to meet all the needs of each individual utilizing services.

Provides support to individuals in order to prepare for, find and retain jobs. Specializing in working with individuals who have difficulty finding a job, individuals with disabilities and those who are receiving temporary assistance and/or food stamps. Provides support with job readiness training, placement in competitive industry, follow-up employment supports including job coaches, finding child care, transportation or assisting with appropriate clothing for work.

Provides job search assistance through Workforce NY Job Bank which lists full/part-time jobs available throughout community, state and nation.

HATAS Pathways Project integrates housing and employment support services for 28 households with a history of homelessness and a disabling condition. The program includes rental subsidies, service planning, job-readiness training, employment placement assistance, case management, referrals to treatment, and other community services.

Provides intensive support and assessment to individuals addressing lifelong patterns of under/unemployment. Offers internships, education/credentialing, job placement, extended job coaching/case management and professional clothing.

Provides assistance with resume building, interview skills, job searching, and managing a disability while working. Other services include job coaches that assist with learning soft skills that include, but are not limited to finding and maintaining employment, transportation, and social conduct in the workplace.

Provides employment assistance through job coaching, job interview skills, job search assistance, on-the-job training, and continuing services throughout employment for further success and support for individuals recovering from a mental illness.

**DUE TO COVID-19, PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD - TENTATIVELY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2021 ** Thomas Sports Group provides academic assistance, behavior management and job training for low-income youth. Services include computer training, tutoring and job placement. The objectives are to promote self-esteem, teamwork, leadership and professionalism.

The Workforce Connections Program assists income-eligible individuals who have at least one minor child, in securing and retaining employment through one-on-one case management. This program offers a wide arrange of soft-skills training workshops and family-oriented activities to assist and empower individuals to reach their full potential. Supportive services are tailored to meet individual need, including effective job searching, resume preparation, interview skills, HSE classes, goal setting, and budgeting to name a few.

Recruits and assesses low income, TANF eligible teenage students, with a strategy which includes academic support services, job readiness skills, conflict resolution training, and individual and group counseling to help them succeed in various ways.

Provides quality job training and employment services leading to gainful employment and livable wages for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed farmworkers. Offers programs and services which focus on the interests and needs of adults. There are lectures or workshops on various topics, computer classes, including career counseling. Helps with job assessment, resume preparation, job searches, information on education and training programs.

Provides pre-job training with interview skills, resume writing, and other job-related skills, including with job search and placement.

Offers Job Placement and Vocational Training Programs for adults with disabilities and out-of-school youth who are looking to enter the job force for the first time or want to make a career change. Specific service include: Job placement; Job readiness; Career Awareness; Vocational Training and Work experience Training. These programs are funded through State Education Programs, Local WIAO Programs, as well as self-pay options. (You must qualify for payment by Agencies). To register, you can be referred by one of the following agencies, ACCES/VR, The Town of Oyster Bay, The Town of Hempstead, The Department of Veterans Affairs, or a school district or contact the Career & Employment Center office. Maintains a job listing and provides applications for high school and college students looking for full time, after school, weekend, and/or summer employment.

Serves people who have been displaced from their careers as unpaid homemakers. It offers services to help with the challenges people in these situations often face. Some people have trouble finding: Child care; Transportation; Housing; Basic necessities; Jobs; Others may face: Emotional challenges; Medical needs and Legal problems. Services include: Crisis intervention; Counseling; Referral to community service agencies; Assertiveness training; Decision-making training; Assessment; Resume writing; Job search strategies and Job clubs. Offers drug and alcohol counseling, crisis counseling, job development and referral, tutoring, Homework help, Improvisation teen theater, peer leadership training, drug prevention, support groups, environmental issues group, grandfriends, social skills group, young families group, home safety programs, basketball and recreational activities. Seeks to promote job searches, job referrals, and supportive services to divert applicants from the need of ongoing cash assistance. Provides an intensive assessment to help identify potential barriers to self-sufficiency and assist families to overcome these barriers, job readiness training and other employment-related services such as resume writing, interviewing skills and techniques, and supportive services to assist in maintaining/retaining employment. If cost effective, employment-related supportive services such as car repairs or insurance, transportation assistance, work clothes, etc. can be approved by DSS on a case-by-case basis.

Job Assist offers teens, ages 14-21, employment training and placement services. Job assist recruits employers and individuals who are looking to fill a variety of jobs and matches them with teens looking for employment.

A no cost education and career technical training program administered by the US Department of Labor to help young adults ages 16 to 24 gain skills necessary for adequate employment. GED programs and career training available.

Offer services to veterans of military service which include employer information, education, training and credentialing, as well as links to federal resources

Provides emergency food, referrals, advocacy, minimal job referrals, and some emergency financial assistance for people living within the boundaries of the parish.

Provides workshops about employment, immigration, education and parenting for non-English speaking immigrants. This service has implemented the New Americans Resource Center at the White Plains and New Rochelle public libraries to help provide opportunities for adult immigrants to learn skills so they can actively participate in their communities.

Offers vocational and educational testing, career guidance and research, individual and group counseling, job placement services, resume preparation and interview skill workshops for adults. Offers transition planning, vocational assessment, community placement and life skills programming for adolescents.
