SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM | SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

Encourages youth to establish a good work ethic through employment and workshops. Promotes punctuality, teamwork, how to follow rules and regulations, as well as respect of self, co-workers and supervisors. At- risk youth are selected between the ages of 14-18. Interviews are held in May and orientation in June. Employment is seven weeks, Monday-Friday. Worksites are established within the community at local churches, schools, agencies, parks and beaches. Workshops are given throughout the program in areas such as Banking, Job Attitudes, Career Goals, Job Interviewing and Resume Writing. Upon completion of the program is an Awards Lunch where every youth receives an award. Call for further information.

SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM | SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

Provides qualified students a six-week opportunity to experience work in hospital setting. Offers experience in various departments such as OR/ER, physical therapy, x-ray, recreational therapy and others. Participants assist with patient care.
