Participants are assessed, trained and accompanied by JM staff.Employment ConnectionOur full-service agency provides employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We assist with job exploration, readiness training and ongoing employment support for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.ACE (Assisted Competitive Employment)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis, receive vocational rehabilitation and mental health supports to obtain and sustain integrated competitive employment. Through group and individual activities including: goal setting, career exploration and volunteer experiences, we help participants improve their self-confidence, stamina, skills and dependability in a supportive environment.Transitional Employment Placement (TEP)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis explore a variety of employment opportunities through short-term placements and volunteering to strengthen skills with the goal of achieving assisted or unassisted competitive employment in the field of their choice.ACCES- VR (Vocational Rehabilitation)Assisting Individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and to support independent living. All services under ACCES-VR are contracted services funded by the New York State Department of Education.

Employment Support Services include person-centered vocational supports in a variety of settings, developing skills and good work habits as a way of increasing independence and assisting individuals to become productive and contributing members of the community. Personal growth and a sense of self-worth are achieved and enhanced. Adults with developmental disabilities may be able to earn income while working to achieve their maximum potential. A wide range of services and supports are offered including exploration of career interests, job readiness programs, and in some cases, a more directly supported work environment.

Provides employment support services for adults with developmental disabilities to enhance independence by improving work skills, teaching them to follow instructions, attend and complete tasks, problem solve, workplace safety, communication and quality control. There is employment placement and support services through sub-contracting or gaining employment with a local business. Provides job support with job coaches, assistive technology, specialized job training and individually tailored supervision.

This is an exciting and challenging program designed to build community and strengthen peer leadership skills in teens. Activities are crafted for success and achievement, require full participation and promote improved decision making, problem solving, and communication skills. The program's goal is to work with young people who are struggling to overcome difficult situations, and guide them toward higher education and purposeful employment. Participants attend one of the three, 3-week summer sessions and then attend weekend activities at camp during the school year. Teen's families also participate in the program, during weekends in the spring and fall. Activities include camping, canoeing, high ropes, peer group counseling, learning basic work skills, and local community service projects.
