Onsite in JM Murray's manufacturing warehouse, we assist with developing long-term vocational goals that align with an individual's unique skills, strengths and interests.Community-based Prevocational TrainingOur community-based program matches individuals with local businesses to explore the world of work. Participants are assessed, trained and accompanied by JM staff.Employment ConnectionOur full-service agency provides employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We assist with job exploration, readiness training and ongoing employment support for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.ACE (Assisted Competitive Employment)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis, receive vocational rehabilitation and mental health supports to obtain and sustain integrated competitive employment. Through group and individual activities including: goal setting, career exploration and volunteer experiences, we help participants improve their self-confidence, stamina, skills and dependability in a supportive environment.Transitional Employment Placement (TEP)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis explore a variety of employment opportunities through short-term placements and volunteering to strengthen skills with the goal of achieving assisted or unassisted competitive employment in the field of their choice.ACCES- VR (Vocational Rehabilitation)Assisting Individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and to support independent living. All services under ACCES-VR are contracted services funded by the New York State Department of Education.

Provides supported employment services for people with disabilities (not just intellectual or developmental) including job placement, coaching, application assistance, resumes, follow-ups, and school transitions.

Program offers services, assistance, information, advocacy and referral for those needing help navigating special education services, community habilitation, pre-vocational and employment programs, independent living skills and peer-to-peer support.

Provides a variety of services in home and community based settings to assist with improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families via OPWDD and OMH. Supports include respite, community habilitation, recreation, after school programming, summer programming, broker services, early intervention services, children's mental health services, intensive parent training, children's health homes, and employment services.

Employment Support Services include person-centered vocational supports in a variety of settings, developing skills and good work habits as a way of increasing independence and assisting individuals to become productive and contributing members of the community. Personal growth and a sense of self-worth are achieved and enhanced. Adults with developmental disabilities may be able to earn income while working to achieve their maximum potential. A wide range of services and supports are offered including exploration of career interests, job readiness programs, and in some cases, a more directly supported work environment.

Provides opportunities for individuals with mental health diagnoses to participate in various work units and educational areas.

Program offers services, assistance, information, advocacy and referral for those needing help navigating special education services, community habilitation, pre-vocational and employment programs, independent living skills and peer-to-peer support.

Assists men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn and develop work and social skills through participation in day habilitation without walls. Supported employment services provided through OPWDD, ETP and ACCES-VR. Referral required, Call to schedule an appointment.

This is an exciting and challenging program designed to build community and strengthen peer leadership skills in teens. Activities are crafted for success and achievement, require full participation and promote improved decision making, problem solving, and communication skills. The program's goal is to work with young people who are struggling to overcome difficult situations, and guide them toward higher education and purposeful employment. Participants attend one of the three, 3-week summer sessions and then attend weekend activities at camp during the school year. Teen's families also participate in the program, during weekends in the spring and fall. Activities include camping, canoeing, high ropes, peer group counseling, learning basic work skills, and local community service projects.

Offers developmentally disabled individuals within Jefferson County an opportunity to work in the community in paid and volunteer positions. Helps individuals identify their strengths, skills, and interests and develops opportunities to match the person with the right job, as well as employment supports.

Provides the following services. Employment Readiness: Career counseling, career exploration, career advisement, resume preparation, interviewing assistance, online video interview assistance, and custom made workshops. Job Search Assistance: Access to computer labs, copy service, free mailing, current job listings, labor market information, job fairs, job clubs, and "Meet the Employers" on-site career fairs, where employers are on-site to recruit and interview job seekers. Career Advancement and Training Grants: Connected education, training programs, and support services that enable individuals to secure a job or advance in an in-demand industry or occupation. Training grants available for in-demand occupations such as Nursing, HVAC, Machining, CDL, Mechanics, Accounting, and over 50 additional occupations. Job Training: High school equivalency diploma classes, soft skills classes, and training on computer and internet use, keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word. Provides services for job seeking, skills training, job development, job placement, information and referral, and job coaching as appropriate and necessary.

Supported Employment: Services include pre-employment, placement, post-employment, case management, crisis intervention, and job coaching. Transportation may be available depending upon placement; not always available. Vocational Assessment Services: Services include vocational evaluations, career counseling, pre-employment testing, and linkage. Driver's Rehabilitation: Services include training, clinical evaluations, and vehicle modification evaluations, available for individuals with severe limitations.

Offers short term career training programs focusing on employment skills and placement services for visually impaired individuals. Both online and in-house courses are available which focus on computer skills, customer service skills, telecommunications, and work readiness. Emphasis is placed on computer skills including Microsoft Office, Assistive Technology, and hands on experiential learning. Also provides employment services including resume development, interviewing skills training, career counseling, and job search/placement support. Program is open Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm in-house; specific course hours will vary, or be available as online offerings.

Provides employment training opportunities for adults with disabilities. Services include situational assessment, supported work, job coaching, job placement assistance, and facility based employment.
