Offers a school which is designed for students with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. The instructional program, which is aligned to the New York State Standards for Students with Severe Disabilities and the New York State Common Core Learning Standards, builds confidence and capabilities of students and focuses on developing communication skills and personal independence. Research-based methodologies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), visual strategies, the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), augmentative communications systems, functional behavioral assessment and positive behavioral supports are utilized in this program. The Rosemary Kennedy School consists of the elementary, middle and high school classes as well as district-based classes which provide mainstreaming opportunities for students. Community-based instruction is an essential part of the curriculum and compliments traditional classroom learning. Students participate in recreational activities (libraries, bowling), life skills (grocery shopping, restaurants), volunteer work sites (Mercy Hospital, Hofstra University) and vocational enclaves in the community (fast food restaurants, retail stores). Each student is educated by an interdisciplinary team comprised of the classroom teacher, teacher aides, psychologist, social worker, related service personnel, curriculum teachers and administrators. Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education through daily communication notebooks, conferences, visits, parent training sessions and parent support groups. Transition planning for students from ages 12 to 21 is facilitated by vocational rehabilitation counselors and social workers in coordination with students and their families prior to graduation. Provides sheltered workshops offering on-site factory like setting, food service program and clerical training for adults with developmental disabilities. Also available are supportive and competitive work programs.

The Transition Academy offers a coordinated, integrated set of transition and employment services to help young adults who have already transitioned out of high school, or are about to, create a person-centered adult life plan that includes both personal and professional development supports that meet the needs of transition-aged individuals, their families, and other professionals. Its three programs are: Project Search Autism Enhancement, Employment Connection Pilot Program and Prep4Success.

Provides support, counseling, training, and life-skills for people with mental health and substance use needs. Services are provided at home, in the community, or through telehealth and can in addition to other behavioral health services you are already receiving. Services include: Peer Support Services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Counseling, Family Support & Training, and Education and Job Support Services.

Assesses individuals with disabilities and provides job placement, on-the-job training, and long-term ongoing support, needed to help sustain each job. Offers several programs to address specific client needs and age ranges.

ACCESS-VR is a vocational education, job search and other services to eligible individuals with disabilities to enable them to achieve independence through education, training, employment and support.

Offers various formats to help individuals with disabilities to prepare and gain employment. Services include job skills assessment and training, supported employment, job coaching and more, which helps these individuals become more competitive and self-sustaining in the workplace.

Provides vocational training for individuals who want to enter or re-enter the workforce. Assists with education of standard business practices, education with technology commonly in retail, handle customer requests and involved in all aspects of running the store.

Provides work for pay opportunities within community-based and facility-based job sites throughout Lewis and Oneida counties. Training and clinical supports are provided based on individuals needs.

Provides supported employment services for people with disabilities (not just intellectual or developmental) including job placement, coaching, application assistance, resumes, follow-ups, and school transitions.

Provides supported employment provides assistance on and off the job site such as tailored job coaching, employment counseling, advocacy, specialized job training, ongoing extended support services and re-placement as needed.
