The annual schedule of clinics includes several locations in the county, including town halls, as well as on the agency website. There is no charge for vaccination services for county residents, although donations are accepted. Breeders must use their own veterinarian for rabies vaccinations and are not eligible for vaccinations through the free clinics. Dogs must be leashed and cats and ferrets must be enclosed in an appropriate pet carrier.

NYS Public Health Law requires that all puppies and kittens get their first rabies shot at 3 months of age. They also need to get a booster shot at one year old, and again every three years.
