Offers short-term respite services, educational workshops, training, support groups, and various therapeutic services to adults taking care of a senior age 60 years or older, or a grandparent over 60 caring for a child under the age of 19.

Elder Caregiver Program | Schuyler County Office for the Aging (SCOFA)

Provides assistance to informal caregivers, spouses, adult children, other family members, friends and neighbors, in their efforts to care for an older person who needs help with everyday tasks. This can include certain aspect of personal care, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as, housekeeping, errands, grocery shopping, providing meals, transportation, home repairs, financial support, emotional support and companionship as well as short term respite care within the home. Maintains a resource library for information for caregivers as well as age-related diseases.

Activities include: billiards, travel clubs, club meetings, special events, van/wheelchair van service, hot lunches, defensive driving classes, meals on wheels, information and referral, monthly newsletter, volunteer opportunities, caregivers program, and support group. Health focused activities include: aerobics class, health maintenance center, "Are You Okay?"
