Mental Health Community Residence is a 12-bed residence providing 24-hour care to people who are overcoming a serious mental health diagnosis. Supportive Apartments are available for those needing minimal supervision, up to 21 hours per week. Individual Residential Alternatives (IRA) offers 24 hour supervised living in various sites throughout Orleans and Genesee County.

These services are designed to prevent or remedy the neglect, exploitation, or abuse of vulnerable adults by strengthening their capacity to function and be self-directing. Services include: homemaker services, home management, housing improvement, housekeeper chores, adult residential services, and health related services.

Provides houses for homeless families of Suffolk County with two or more children and helps them to become self-sufficient. Rehabilitates and builds houses for these families, and provides support services in areas of home management, nutrition, goal setting, budgeting, and parenting through a social worker.

Provides residential programs for adults (ages 21+) developmental disabilities. Includes round the clock residential staff, personal care and training in skills of daily living. Residential sites are located throughout Suffolk County and are staffed by qualified professionals, including direct support professionals, recreation therapists, nurses, behavior specialists, and dietician/nutritionist.

PROJECT INDEPENDENCE SUFFOLK | PROJECT INDEPENDENCE SUFFOLK

A comprehensive, non-residential program designed to prepare youths between the ages of 14-21 who are in foster care or discharged from foster care, to live and work independently in the community when they are no longer eligible for foster care. In our comprehensive non-residential program, we also work closely with foster parents. Home visits and supportive services are offered; foster parent training and support groups are provided throughout the year. Workshops, health/Sexuality, recreation, vocational training, college/career readiness, resume writing, financial literacy, mental health and substance abuse awareness and much more.
