Also provides orientation to families involved with court-ordered supervised family visits. Provides training for people interested in becoming a visitation supervisor.

The program operates in collaboration with the Steuben County Department of Social Services.

Neutral Ground Supervised Visitation Program (SVP) is to provide supervised visitation for the noncustodial parent in an atmosphere promoting safe, positive, and productive interactions between children and parents.

This service is for divorced, unmarried or separated families who are typically referred by the Family or Supreme Court. Based on court order the program can provide Therapeutic Supervised Visitation or Monitored Exchanges. Visitation provides children with a safe, secure and healing environment where they can have contact with their non-custodial parent. Typically, these are families with allegations and/or a history of mental illness, physical/emotional abuse, alcohol or chemical dependency, low parent skill or a risk of abduction, and where the court has determined that supervision is required. Exchanges provides a neutral drop-off and pick-up service that allows children to have safe transitions for scheduled access time. This is a service for families where safe child access to a parent is jeopardized because of existing orders of protection, domestic violence and/or high parental conflict.

Offers school-based and family-based approaches to preventing out-of-home placement of at-risk youth in all school districts throughout Cattaraugus County. (Families & Schools Together, Truancy Prevention, Family Group Conferencing, etc.) CPS Contract Cases: A program designed to prevent the need for future CPS involvement by engaging families who are experiencing challenges early, providing support to build family resiliency, and helping families develop neighborhood and community-based supports. Referrals are accepted from CPS county-wide. Home Visiting Program: An in-home parenting program that provides parenting skills and structure in a one-on-one setting. Program addresses safety and risk in the home and works on identifying goals within the family. Parenting Workshop: A seven-week parenting class that uses the Active Parenting model. Parenting skills are taught in classroom/group settings. Supervised Visitation: Arranged and set up such that non-custodial parents have access to their children in a safe environment. Supervised visits are utilized as a safety measure to ensure that children are safe, while also allowing parents to build relationships with their children. Parenting skills and support are provided to both the parents and the children during the visits. New Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: The focus of the group is to promote fatherhood and the importance of being a positive male role model for children. The group is open to any male who plays a role in a child's life (Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend).

The aim is to encourage positive co-parenting techniques along with safe and positive parent-child interactions. Services are contracted with the Department of Social Services and include foster care visitation.

A year-round Child Advocacy Program providing supervised visitation between non-custodial parents and their children.

Provides non-custodial parents the opportunity to visit their children without contact/conflict with the other parent. Separate secure entrances ensure that contact between the parents during visitation will not occur.

Services include: assessment of parenting needs and individualized goals, fully and partially supervised visitation, and check-ins during unsupervised visits, coached family visits, pre-visit consultation and debriefs following visits.

Offers parent education, social relations (activities, planned events and advocacy services are made available to help reduce isolation), and assistance to enhance successful reunification and assistance with transition process to new services.
