Offers visitation services to non-custodial parents of children in foster care in a safe, secure, home-like atmosphere to promote positive relationships and work toward reuniting families whenever possible. The program operates in collaboration with the Steuben County Department of Social Services.

Offers school-based and family-based approaches to preventing out-of-home placement of at-risk youth in all school districts throughout Cattaraugus County. (Families & Schools Together, Truancy Prevention, Family Group Conferencing, etc.) CPS Contract Cases: A program designed to prevent the need for future CPS involvement by engaging families who are experiencing challenges early, providing support to build family resiliency, and helping families develop neighborhood and community-based supports. Referrals are accepted from CPS county-wide. Home Visiting Program: An in-home parenting program that provides parenting skills and structure in a one-on-one setting. Program addresses safety and risk in the home and works on identifying goals within the family. Parenting Workshop: A seven-week parenting class that uses the Active Parenting model. Parenting skills are taught in classroom/group settings. Supervised Visitation: Arranged and set up such that non-custodial parents have access to their children in a safe environment. Supervised visits are utilized as a safety measure to ensure that children are safe, while also allowing parents to build relationships with their children. Parenting skills and support are provided to both the parents and the children during the visits. New Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: The focus of the group is to promote fatherhood and the importance of being a positive male role model for children. The group is open to any male who plays a role in a child's life (Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend).

Provides safe and secure visitation for families impacted by domestic violence and for those who are divorced or separated with have high levels of conflict during visitation and exchange. The aim is to encourage positive co-parenting techniques along with safe and positive parent-child interactions. Services are contracted with the Department of Social Services and include foster care visitation.

Assistance applying for financial assistance to help with medical bills, lost wages, and counseling expenses related to the crime through the Victim Compensation Claims Assistance. Helps victims navigate the legal system through Court Advocacy/Victim Assistance.

Provides a non-threatening environment for supervised visitations where play and relationship building are encouraged and supported.

Provides play-based learning opportunities to families. Includes creative play such as dress-up, play dough, painting, and building blocks; and a gym at HFRC for more physical play featuring climbing structures, basketball, and riding toys where children can develop school readiness skills.

Serves as a one-stop source of information, activities and materials to help improve parent-child interaction through parenting workshops, developmental and health screenings, supervised visits, a comprehensive library and home visits when needed.
