Thriving with Your Spirited Child: a seven week program with information about temperaments. Develop effective strategies for dealing with temper tantrums and power struggles.

Includes 4 programs:Jack O'Rourke Family Counseling Program: Provides long and short-term counseling to individuals, couples and families around a variety of issues by NYS Licensed Clinical Social Workers.Functional Family Therapy (FFT): An intensive outreach family counseling program operating in collaboration with DSS.Gateway Center for Youth: A free and confidential counseling program that offers short- term individual and psycho- educational group counseling (anger management, self- esteem, social skills, and parenting) to youth ages 8 to 21.Family Navigator Services: provided to youth and their families either when they don't meet criteria for other programs or have not been connected to them.

The Middle Years: Education program for parents/caregivers of children ages 5 to 10 years
The Tween/Teen Years: Education program for parents/caregivers of children ages 11 to 18 years
The Strengthening Families Program: Online program for parents/caregiver and youth ages 11 to 18 years to work together on teen development, communication skills, and managing emotions
Just for Grandparents: Education program grandparent guardians to discuss parenting strategies, gain support, and connect with other

Delivers high-quality interventions, improves family functioning, supports healthy relationships, and decreases the potential for out-of-home-placement. Family Partners and Family Aides provide direct family support, parent skills training, case management support, and parenting education opportunities. The PSI program is modeled after the 3SI program, and offers all the services that 3SI offers, incorporating supervised visits for youth transitioning home after foster care.

Assists non-parent caregivers in Onondaga and Oswego counties in providing children with a safe and nurturing environment through a variety of services, ranging from referrals to intensive case management, depending on individual need. Also offers parenting classes and support groups.

Provides a 12 week program for adult fathers and father-figures to gain a stronger understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Assists with skill development, confiedence, parenting attitude, and education around child development, and age-appropriate discipline techniques.

* Offers strength-based parent education services for new parents and young parents, quality care education offered to working parents as part of child care resource and referral services, and early childhood enrichment programs. Also provides supervised visitation with a trained supervisor. Able to accommodate family and attorney requests as well as court ordered visitation.

* Offers free pregnancy tests and options counseling in a non-judgmental setting.* Provides parenting classes, earning points for items in their boutique with class attendance. Stocks a boutique with various items like clothes, toys, strollers, high chairs, and shoes.* Operates a Diapers, Wipes, and Formula program for weekly supplies.* Hosts post-abortive healing classes facilitated by trained counselors to support individuals grieving after an abortion.

* Provides Preventive services through: Parenting services for adult caregivers, age 18 years and older: Active Parenting Program. Parenting Inside and Out (PIO). Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). PAX tools, evidence-based, trauma-informed strategies to improve cooperation and self-regulation with youth. Children and youth prevention/intervention services: Bounce back, focuses on social problem solving, psychoeducation, and relaxation, while adding additional components for children grade K-5. Boy's council, a strengths-based group approach to promote boys and young men safe and healthy passage through pre-teen and adolescent years for adolescent grades 6-12. Girls Circle, helps adolescent girls deal with a variety of issues that include bullying, the pressures of social media, early puberty, gender exploration and binge drinking. SPORT, single-session substance use prevention program, includes physical activity, sports participation, and practicing stress control. Support for Students Exposed to Trauma, 10-session intervention for youth who have been exposed to traumatic events and are suffering from symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder for adolescent's grade 6-12. Teen Intervene, a brief early interventions for teens who display the initial stages of alcohol or substance use involvement, for adolescent's grades 6-12. Vape Intervention, students explore motivations for using e-cigs, gain knowledge about the risks of vaping nicotine or other substances. Adult services: Empowered Health Consciousness. Ripple Effect of Thriving, group sessions for adults. Resilience and Thriving, offers resilience skills and go from coping to thriving for adult caregivers 18 years and older.

Provides six 2-hour skill sessions for parents of children of all ages including effective praise, staying calm and teaching self-control to children, building a close parent-child relationship, and giving clear messages with expectations and consequences.
