Offers an intensive leadership training experience based on trust in the ability of young people to help themselves and their peers in making responsible choices about drugs and alcohol. Once basic knowledge has been acquired, students provide education and programs in their schools and community organizations.

Offers opportunities for teen girls to develop relationships with the elderly in their community through ongoing complimentary facials and makeovers at local senior homes. Also offers a leadership training institute with interactive workshops and public speaking exercises. Call for information.

Provides programs and services that ensure the healthy development of the town's children and youth from birth to age 21. Current programs address after school care, adolescent mental health, youth employment, youth court, leadership development, alternative activities, information and referral, case management services, youth drop-in center, and Grandparents Raising Children support group. Youth who participate in 4-H find a supportive environment and opportunities for hands-on or "experiential" learning about things that interest them. They also get confidence, compassion and connections with caring adults to make contributions to their communities.

The Girl Scouts Leadership Experience is a one-of-a-kind leadership development program for girls. Girl Scouts is a place where girls practice different skills, explore their potential, take on leadership positions.

The Venturing program offers exciting and meaningful activities that help high school students pursue their special interests, mature as individuals, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens. Venturing crews can specialize in a variety of vocations or hobby interests. Crews are established by local community organizations by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community.

A 9-month leadership development program that takes place annually to prepare a select group of county residents to become the community stewards of the future. This group explores Oswego County and its resources, key current and future issues.

Keystone Club is a youth leadership and development program revolving around community and volunteer service.

Offers a program that is designed to provide HR practitioners with the necessary knowledge to make informed management and policy decisions. Certificate credits may also be used to fulfill requirements in either the Master of Science in Human Resource Management or Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program offered through the School of Professional Development, or the Master of Business Administration offered through the College of Business. (Be advised that not all courses count for both programs. Students should compare the degree and certificate requirements prior to enrolling.) Teen Leadership Rockland is a leadership development program for sophomore level high school students. The program connects students with leadership potential with peers and community leaders through interactive seminars.
