CRISIS ORIENTED RESPONSE FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (CORDO) | WESTCHESTER JEWISH COMMUNITY SERVICES (WJCS) - CENTRAL WESTCHESTER FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC

Offers individual, family and group counseling, behavior management as well as information and referral for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism and their families. A therapeutic, adult, social, and recreational club meet weekly to work on goals that include increasing socialization and self-advocacy skills. Also provide a transition program for adolescents going to adulthood, including case management for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Provides mental health counseling to individuals ages 5 years and older. Offers individual, family, and group therapy. Provides counseling for anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, family concerns, anger, and emotional issues related to ADHD, and other learning disabilities.

PHOBIA AND TRAUMA CLINIC | JOAN AND ARNOLD SALTZMAN COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER

Offers unique and technologically advanced treatments for patients whose fears inhibit their quality of life. The clinic has also successfully treated clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition caused by an unusually devastating and/or tragic experience. Some common phobias treated at the clinic include: travel on airplanes, trains; public speaking; animals and heights. The center also treats patients with PTSD. The Saltzman Center is open Monday through Saturday. All therapy services are by appointment only. Fees are set at the time therapy is initiated. All services are provided in a professional manner and conform to the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association. Information will not be released without the informed written consent of the client, except where mandated by law or in life-threatening or abusive situations. Call for more detailed information.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION RESEARCH AND COUNSELING CLINIC | JOAN AND ARNOLD SALTZMAN COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER

Provides diagnostic evaluations and psychological services to adults, adolescents, children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds who are having, behavioral, emotional, learning or adjustment problems. Emphasis is placed on clarifying problem areas, developing realistic goals and providing active short-term treatment. The full psychological evaluation consists of a biographical data review, psychological testing and assessment, an interpretive conference and a written report. Psychotherapeutic programs for behavior change include: Anger management, stress reduction, parent skills training, marriage and family counseling, and counseling for adults and children who have been abused. Consultation with school districts and other professional organizations are also available to develop programs within school and professional settings. The following services are offered: Anxiety and Depression Treatment Program; The Phobia and Trauma Clinic; The Child and Family Trauma Institute; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Clinic; Child and Parent Psychotherapy Services Clinic; Diagnostic and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders; Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinic; Positive Psychology Institute for Emerging Adults and Institute for Family Forensic Psychology.
