HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY GIRLS LACROSSE CAMP | HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY SUMMER CAMP

Offers a lacrosse camp where the goal is for every player to learn new skills and have fun playing the sport we all love. Instruction includes individual skills, strategies and game play. With a knowledgeable and experienced staff, we strive to educate each player and build on his or her strengths while addressing any weaknesses. The counselors demonstrate techniques and develop campers’ skills in a fun, positive environment, and they encourage players of all abilities to be successful at the next level. All players are divided by age and experience, and requests to be with friends will be honored. The day is divided into station/drill sessions, individual instruction, team practice, and tournament game play. Campers receive hands-on, individual attention in all areas of the game. Instruction includes, but is not limited to, catching, throwing, stick handling, dodging, draws, goal keeping, transition, groundballs, and defensive and offensive scenarios. Campers need to bring a lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouthguard. All goalies are responsible for bringing their own equipment. Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, athletic shorts, and sneakers or cleats. Campers must also bring a water bottle. Bathing suit and towel will be needed on assigned swim days. Made up of parents and community members that support and promote all co-curricular (outside the classroom) sports at Hampton Bays High School and Middle School. The club meets once a month at 7pm in Room 9 at the High School and discuss goals, organize fundraisers, teams and athletes. Call for additional information and meeting dates.

BASEBALL CAMP | LIU SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

Offers a camp for campers in grades 2-8. Come work on your game. Our coaches will help evaluate and development your skills in all aspects of the game including hitting, hitting for power, fielding, pitching, running the bases and game strategy. Participants will be split up by age groups with the older kids on our larger field with 90 foot bases and the younger kids on a smaller filed with adjustable base paths. GOLF CAMP | FARMINGDALE STATE COLLEGE-FUTURE STARS SUMMER CAMPS

Offers players in grades 3 to 9 (co-ed) of all abilities the unique opportunity to learn the game from experienced, enthusiastic and supportive golf instructors. Campers receive individual and group instruction that focuses on golf fundamentals and etiquette. Proper grip, posture, body alignment, putting, chipping and swing instruction are just a few facets of the game that will be touched upon by our instructors, as well as rules and “unwritten rules” of the game. To supplement instructional periods, each day includes a combination of games and friendly competitions which serve as a vehicle for learning and lets campers have a ton of fun at the same time. All programs run weekly from Monday to Friday and camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm. Extended Hours are available with Early Drop-Off (8am) and Late Pick-Up (5:30pm) options. Additional charges apply.
