The Adapted Sports and Recreation Program at HHH is a four-season program that provides access to and education about adaptive sports and recreation activities for individuals of a wide range of abilities. The program is open to both former patients of the hospital as well as individuals with disabilities within the community. Adapted activities offered during the year include gardening, handcycling, skiing, rowing, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, softball, basketball, yoga, therapeutic horseback riding, and more. All activities are held in the New York Metropolitan region.

Provides an integrated adaptive kayaking program for individuals of all ages and abilities.

North Country Recreation offers people the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, as well as other activities such as crafts, video production, games, online chats, and so much more! This is a program for people with disabilities, including those with more involved physical disabilities who may require assistance.

Provides a sled hockey program, similar to ice hockey with the exception of the equipment. Participants use a specially designed sled that sits on two ice hockey skate blades; two short hockey sticks are used to propel across the ice. Available for participants of all ages and abilities.
Enables young athletes to play the game of wheelchair basketball in a noncompetitive atmosphere to foster team work and friendship-building skills. Designed to teach basic basketball skills, and focuses on coordination development.

Provides therapeutic ice skating lessons for the disabled of all ages. Lessons are held weekly and culminate in an annual ice show which all students perform in. Lessons are held in 4 different locations, 6 days a week. Skates, helmets, and walkers are provided for skaters. Also offers adaptive ice hockey available for current SABAH athletes who can skate independently, turf summer sport programs, recreational ice skating in the summer, and the Fit and Fun program which provides a physical education program for adults challenged by disabilities. Works to enhance quality of life for United States military veterans, service members, and families through therapeutic recreation and education, collaboration with other service providers, and a sustained continuum of care. Uses therapeutic recreation and adaptive sports to help facilitate a change in perspective and give participants the physical skills, confidence, and coping strategies necessary for a successful reintegration process. An innovative sports play program for children with intellectual disabilities, designed to introduce them to the world of sports prior to Special Olympics eligibility at age eight by engaging children through developmentally appropriate play activities designed to foster physical, cognitive, and social development.
A family recreation program designed to facilitate access to community activities for children and young adults ages 5-21 who are blind/legally blind and their families. Participation in each activity requires at least one parent/guardian to attend; however, participation from the entire family is encouraged. Participants are provided with appropriate adaptations and advocacy skills to include all family members in existing community recreation opportunities. Program runs monthly during the school year September through June and activities range widely from outdoor sports like paddling and hiking to indoor activities such as Dave & Busters and swimming. Program staff support the building of independence and socialization skills for the youth along with education and networking opportunities for parents and siblings. Each activity includes a relevant life skill which is discussed and explored with parents for their use during the activity and for future family outings.
