Serves as a Cooling Center for individuals during times of excessive heat. Some cooling locations may require membership, always call to confirm. Also always call to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.

Serves as a City of Buffalo Cooling Center during times of extreme heat and as a Warming Center when temperatures are below 15 degrees. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling/Heating Center is open before going there.

Training available through Health and Safety Services for individuals, families, professional rescuers, and businesses. Areas of training include First Aid Basics, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for infants, children, and adults, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, Pet First Aid, and Babysitter Training. In Aquatics, areas of training include Learn To Swim, Life Guarding, Water Safety Instruction, and Life Guard Management. Classroom and online instruction available.
