Offers various recreational activities throughout the Village of Youngstown and its parks. Activities include sports programs/teams, arts and crafts, storytelling, a wading pool, and a summer reading program. Concerts are held in the parks during the summer. Programming varies by season. Programs aim to unite community resources, aid disadvantaged youth, and prevent drug abuse. YES program is an employment program for teens/young adults. Resident ID cards issued annually. A community center on the West Side of Buffalo that provides after school programming for youth ages 8-18. Offers board games, pool and ping pong tables, computer and internet access, books, a gym, and snacks. Recreation programs include sports programs, gym and game room activities, as well as field trips, arts and crafts, and other special events available through a partnership with Buffalo PAL (Police Athletic League). Serves as a Cooling Center during times of excessive heat and as a Warming Center during times of excessive cold. Offers various youth enrichment programs that address character and leadership development, community projects, health and life skills, and cultural enrichment. Various recreation, sports, and art based activities are offered throughout the year. Also offers a day trip program for 4 weeks in July for a separate fee.
