MASTIC RECREATION CENTER | MASTIC RECREATION CENTER

Town offers a variety of activities such as art classes, quilting and ceramic classes. (YMCA offers teen programs.) Facility available evenings and Saturdays for non-profit community groups on a permit basis and for parties, weddings, etc., and non-profit fundraising. Activities and class schedules vary.

Batavia Senior Center

Provides weekly programs at the Batavia Senior Center. Some of the programs offered are bridge, line dancing, cribbage, arthritis chair-based exercise, quilters, and painting classes. New groups are always being organized. Special programs such as 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course, educational, health, and informational programs are also offered. Day trips to concerts, exhibits, musical productions, restaurants, and areas of special interest are also scheduled in the spring, summer, and fall. Senior groups and clubs exist in most areas of the county which offer luncheons and pot luck dinners. Most groups offer programs of interest, entertainment, day trips, and other recreational activities.

Lackawanna Senior Citizen Center

Provides nutrition, social activities, arts and crafts, sewing, exercise, and AARP driving classes once every month. Transportation to medical appointments, shopping, etc.
