ParentChild+, formerly called the Parent-Child Home Program, uses education to break the cycle of poverty for under-resourced families with young children. ParentChild+ works one-on-one with families and with family child care (FCC) providers to ensure children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. Our dual models enable the program to blanket underserved communities with school readiness supports and reach families with children four and under who would otherwise not be ready for school. Highly trained Early Learning Specialists engage families and FCC providers by modeling reading, conversation, and play activities. Through one-on-one visits to families and visits to providers and children in home-based care settings, ParentChild+ builds opportunities for the most vulnerable children and families. Since 1965, ParentChild+ has been assisting under-served communities in replicating and expanding these proven models, setting children on the road to school and life success and strengthening families, providers, and communities.

Provides information and referral, reference services, readers advisory and programs for children from birth through grade 8 as well as parents. Programs and services include, but are not limited to, topics such as immunizations, book discussions, story hour, arts and crafts, and Parent/Child Workshop.

Professional instructors offer private, semi-private and group swim classes.

Offers small individual classes for 2,3, and 4 year old children as well as a Mommy and Me program for both toddlers and parents, play groups, outreach to the surrounding communities and parent workshops. Produces an agency brochure and provides a speakers bureau including topics such as self-esteem, rainy day activities, sibling rivalry and Kindergarten readiness. Offers parent membership to help with the running of the Nursery School.

Provides Information and Referral, Reference and Readers Advisory, outreach services, and various Early Childhood and Tween programming for parents and children birth through 5th grade.

Awards financial assistance, on a sliding scale, based on the agency's guidelines and the availability of funds for low income families to become members and participate in parent-child and separation classes. These classes are offered for parents and children (ages birth to 7 years old) from Monday through Saturday.

Provide a number of fitness, sports and aquatic programs that help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, including classes and team or individual competition. Also offers a program, Triple Play which improve kids knowledge of healthy habits, increase the hours of physical activities, and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others, and adds a parent's piece to encourage them to take part and improve or enhance healthy habits in themselves and their children.

Offers an aquatic program with a number of programs for children and adults, such as parent/child swim classes, swimming instruction, lap swimming, water-based exercise, and more.

Growing together is a two-part program. The program provides for parents and children to play together while socializing with others. Parents are also provided a time to develop a social network in which to discuss issues, questions, concerns and receive support and information. 15 children are allowed per session.

Parenting a second time around workshops available throughout the year. RAPP Kidz Club is for children ages five and up being raised by a relative that reside in Ulster County.

Conducts tiny tots discovery program involving crafts, movement, and songs, in which children (ages 18 mos-5years) participate with a parent. Conducts sessions at Smithtown Landing Country Club. Supplies all crafts materials. Call for schedule.
