Provides one-on-one support and counseling, telephone, crisis support, and support groups to any family member and/or friend of a mentally ill individual, regardless of where treatment is being received.

* Offers supportive services for persons with Huntington's Disease and their caregivers. Mutual support group for those with Huntington's Disease and those at risk. Dissemination of information on Huntington's Disease. Care and education to all affected by Huntington's Disease through the Huntington's Disease Family Center. Education of professionals towards a better understanding, treatment and care of Huntington's Disease. Clinical research and drug trial observations.

Focuses on the needs and development of children while working with separating/divorcing parents to prevent social and emotional harm. Provides parent education awareness program to reduce conditions that cause stress, and accepts court mandated referrals.

* Works to help families and individuals combat substance use disorders through a blended model of peer and family support services. Peer Specialists and Family Support Specialists to individuals and families who have recently experienced an overdose. Works with Monroe County Department of Public Health (DPH) through a collaborative pilot program.* Provides services for families (or other loved ones) designed to guide, educate, and support families through the addiction treatment and recovery process through peer and family support.* Helps individuals and their loved ones become engaged in recovery-focused activities, including addiction and opioid abuse treatment, counseling, support groups, peer interactions, and community services.

* Provides information on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart diseases and stroke. Educational programs - including CPR and AED Training. Cardiovascular risk factor prevention targeted to schools and worksites. Support of local research.

* Provides alcohol, drug and gambling education. Substance abuse prevention. Training on alcoholism and chemical dependency. Recovery support and information to those affected by compulsive gambling. Referrals for treatment.

Provides a safe space for for LGBTQ youth to gather and receive support from caring adults through case management services, HIV, STD and Hepatitis C testing, mental health assessments, referrals for LGBTQ affirming clinical services, and referrals to LGBTQ affirming health and human service providers. Offers after school programming and support groups for youth, parents and families.

* Offers a recovery group for individuals dealing with a family member who is an alcoholic, controlled by other addiction, or other issues.

Provides free and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence. Services include a safe shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy, court accompaniment, transportation, counseling, a domestic violence support group, and New York State Crime Victims Board claims assistance.

* Offers crisis counseling for all victims of domestic violence. Hotlines for victims, concerned family, friends and the general community in domestic violence situations or know someone who is. * Offers shelter and/or services to Domestic Violence victims and their children. No maximum number of children that may be brought into the shelter. If number exceeds beds available, other arrangements will be made. Sanctions may be applicable through DSS. * Provides information and referrals for male Domestic Violence Victims. * Offers support groups for Domestic Violence Victims. * Offers Court Advocacy. Court accompaniment with on-site advocate at family court. Help with securing orders of protection. * Offers outreach programs. Teen Program for high school students.

Group for parents, siblings and friends of a loved one with an eating disorder. Connects by interactive teleconference with experts, families and friends in other areas for information and support.

* Provides comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families.

* Offers general and open bereavement support groups: Surviving spouses bereavement group. Bereaved parents who have lost a child of any age. LGBT bereavement support groups. Parents who have lost adult children. Parent loss bereavement groups for adults who have lost one or both parents. Grieving grandparents. Bereavement support groups for adult siblings and close friends. Caregivers support groups. Young Widowers support group. Healing After Suicide Loss Anyone who lost someone from suicide.

* Provides help to those battling addiction get into detox, rehabilitation, and other services.* Facilitates communication during the rehabilitation process between the individual, their family, and clinical/therapeutic staff.* Operates the Clubhouse, which helps those leaving rehabilitation through support services that include but are not limited to: assisting with housing placement, offering rides when needed, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.* Offers wrap-around support, case management, and life coaching to help those in recovery fully acclimate to becoming active members of the community.

Provides a community-based system of care for families of children with disabilities. Offers both formal and informal services, with an emphasis on self-determination and family control, to help support families with children who have a disability. Offers family engagement activities, peer support, advocacy training, and parenting groups and classes.

SAIL provides counseling and teaching, and facilitates information giving and sharing for individuals with disabilities, family members and other interested parties on both an individual and a group basis. Support groups that currently meet at the center include the Alzheimer's Support Group, the Autism Support Group, the Crohn's and Colitis Support Group, the Fibromyalgia Support Group, the MS Support, the Stroke Support Group, TBI Support Group, and the Self-Advocacy Support Group. The center facilitates the development of other support groups as requested.

Helps breast cancer survivors maintain health and well-being through their cancer survivor journey.
