Provides free and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence. Services include a safe shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy, court accompaniment, transportation, counseling, a domestic violence support group, and New York State Crime Victims Board claims assistance.

Hotlines for victims, concerned family, friends and the general community in domestic violence situations or know someone who is. * Offers shelter and/or services to Domestic Violence victims and their children. No maximum number of children that may be brought into the shelter. If number exceeds beds available, other arrangements will be made. Provides a number of support services for anyone who is a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include 24/7 hotline, confidential emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, court assistance and accompaniment, safety for pets left behind, transportation, translation and referrals to other services or resources that will be needed. Also provides multilingual and culturally focused services for lesbians, gays, Latinos, African-American, Asian, Haitian, and Jewish Orthodox.

Victims of crime may be eligible for benefits with the NYS Crime Victims Board CVB under certain circumstances including those who were physically injured as a result of a crime, children under 18, elderly 60 or over, disabled, the surviving spouse, parent, grandparent, stepparent, stepchild, child, or person dependent upon the victim who dies as a result of a crime, or the person who paid or incurred the burial expense of an innocent victim who died as a direct result of a crime limited to burial expenses only.

Services to all victims of crime including sexual assault and domestic violence. These services include crime victim board claims, court accompaniment, counseling and referral, crisis response to police, hospitals and support groups. Also provides community education to schools, law enforcement and civic groups. Staff or volunteers provide crisis response to hotline calls 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

Operates an 18-bed shelter to provide emergency housing for Adults and their children who are victims of domestic violence, or sexual assault. Residents participate in individual and group counseling, skills training and parenting education programs. Residents are also provided legal advocacy and assistance in obtaining any public assistance or entitlements.

**THIS AGENCY HAS DISCONTINUED SERVICES AS OF MARCH 14, 2025** Provides support and case management for alleged sex abuse and physical abuse victim in Nassau County. The program provides crisis intervention, accompaniment to criminal and family court, police, District Attorney's office, forensic rape exam. Serves as a liaison to the Nassau County Multi Disciplinary Team and service providers. Assists in completing Crime Victim's Compensation.

Provides a time limited support group for women who have been victims of rape, incest, or sexual assault.

Fearless provides confidential assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children. Provides weekly groups and individual counseling services for adolescents who have been raped/sexually assaulted, witness to domestic violence, and for those who are in relationships where verbal, physical, or sexual abuse is present. Ages are 13 to 17.

Provide temporary emergency shelter for women who have experienced domestic violence/abuse, and for their children. Provides telephone crisis intervention services for women and men. Weekly women's support group.

Offers a support group for victims of domestic violence. Topics deal with surviving domestic violence and surrounding issues. Lesson plans developed around the attending group of women. There is also a children's support group that meets at the same time as the adult group.

Teams are composed of professionals from various disciplines whose primary focus is to investigate, intervene and prevent elder abuse and financial exploitation (age 60 and over). JFS coordinates the teams for Ulster.

Provides counseling, support groups, parenting groups and referrals to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and victims of domestic violence who are incarcerated. Offers transportation and bilingual court advocacy to help victims access legal options. Special group counseling services for children who are victims/witnesses of domestic violence.

Provides emergency shelter and a safe environment for older adults in abusive relationships or situations. Offers an Elder Abuse prevention and training program for professionals working with older adults in the community.

**THIS AGENCY HAS DISCONTINUED SERVICES AS OF MARCH 14, 2025** Provides peer support and socialization groups for child victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending family members. Children are organized into age appropriate groups that meet once a week along with non-offending parents for a family-style dinner, followed by projects and occasioned family outings. This program is also offered through the William Floyd School District in Mastic, Suffolk County. Call for further information.
