Offers supervised meetings where you can share similar experiences in a comfortable, caring setting. Depending on your needs, some health care support groups assist with specific conditions and issues, while others are more general in nature. Some of our support groups include: Bereavement Support Group; Breast Cancer Support Group; Breastfeeding Support Group; Cancer Family Support Groups; Caregiver Support Group; Diabetes Support Group; Dialysis Support Group; Gastric Sleeve Support Group; Prostate Cancer Support Group and Stroke Support Group. For more information about these groups as well as other support groups and classes offered, call the Department of Community Education at (516) 377-5333.

REFERRALS - HALOS | HALOS - HELP AFTER LOSS

HALos collaborates with educators, community leaders, mental health and healthcare professionals. Receives referrals from the local public school systems, and collaborate with Broome Chenango Canine Help Group. This organization provides registered therapy dogs to families when needed. Opportunity to pet, touch, and talk to these therapy dogs has proven beneficial to some individuals.
