Dwyer Project Serving Cattaraugus County

A grant-funded peer to peer program open to all veterans in Cattaraugus County regardless of branch, deployment record, or discharge reason. The program operates with six goals in mind: 1. Help veterans pursue outreach and education. 2. Provide peer to peer support. 3. Build resiliency among veterans. 4. Encourage a connection between their families, friends, and community members. 5. Supports the VA's effort to prevent at-risk veterans from becoming homeless and rapidly rehousing those who have fallen into homelessness. Promotes housing stability and helps connect veterans and their family members to VA services and other benefits. Offers additional services such as case management, housing counseling, fiduciary and payee services, access or referrals to mental health care, child care services, legal services, personal financial planning services, and temporary financial assistance to those who qualify.
