A grant-funded peer to peer program open to all veterans in Cattaraugus County regardless of branch, deployment record, or discharge reason. The program operates with six goals in mind: 1. Help veterans pursue outreach and education. 2. Provide peer to peer support. 3. Build resiliency among veterans. 4. Encourage a connection between their families, friends, and community members. 5. The center provides evidenced-based behavioral healthcare to individuals and families impacted by military service including: family members of all ages, active duty, reserve duty or veteran status, veterans who are not able to obtain VA services, and military service members. Vet2Vet groups are small groups of veterans, who meet weekly, to share knowledge, provide mutual support and share resources. Groups will maintain confidentiality, and are open to veterans of all generations, regardless of discharge status. Check with website for meeting times and location.

IAVA VetTogethers are empowering local events uniting IAVA members and their supporters.

This is a program for Veterans with PTSD, TBI, and other disabilities whereby they receive peer support from other Veterans trained in military behavioral health.

Supports the VA's effort to prevent at-risk veterans from becoming homeless and rapidly rehousing those who have fallen into homelessness. Promotes housing stability and helps connect veterans and their family members to VA services and other benefits. Offers additional services such as case management, housing counseling, fiduciary and payee services, access or referrals to mental health care, child care services, legal services, personal financial planning services, and temporary financial assistance to those who qualify. The Vet 2 Vet program seeks to promote and advocate for the mental health and emotional well-being of Veterans by assessing their needs, providing peer-to-peer mentoring, networking groups, information and referrals and other creative and supportive activities. The Vet2Vet program is located at 30 Lawrence Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553.

Offers veterans, including those with PTSD, support meetings, networking opportunities, creativity and job preparation workshops and social activity experience to promote a healthy transition back to civilian life. A particular focus is placed upon helping veterans showcase their talent and share their experiences through the arts, art shows, photography, music, dance and theatrical events.
