Also provides supervised visitation with a trained supervisor. Able to accommodate family and attorney requests as well as court ordered visitation.

Provides Reference, Information and Referral, Readers Advisory and programs for children from birth through grade 5. Programs and services include Mommy/Daddy and Me, arts and crafts, performances and films, book discussions, storytimes and a summer reading club.

Offers services to families currently homeless, facing potential homelessness, or displaced by domestic violence. Helps parents of children ages 0-8 understand their children's development, improves parenting skills, offers opportunities for parents to build their protective factors, provides support for parents feeling isolated, and offers a safe, supportive space for parents to focus on bonding with their children. Parent Promoters work with parents in group settings and one-on-one sessions to ensure parents have the opportunity to enhance their parenting skills. Sessions focus on child development and social-emotional competence in infants and young children. Services include: - Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ): Designed to assess a child's development in regards to communication, fine motor, gross motor, problem solving, and personal-social abilities, in order to detect learning delays early on. Linkages to early intervention services offered when necessary. Parent Promoters can show parents how to engage with their child in the different developmental areas and provide parents with age-appropriate activities to do with their child. - Positive Solutions for Families (PSF): An evidence-based curriculum designed for parents with children ages 3-7. Assists parents in learning positive and effective techniques to promote their children's social and emotional development. Involves only the parents and facilitators; child care offered to participants when needed. Typically offers one session per week for six weeks. - Parents Interacting with Infants (PIWI): A parent-child playgroup designed for parents and their children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. Offers a fun, interactive setting where parents can play with their children, learn about their child's development, and build connections with other parents. Typically offers one session per week for five weeks. PSF and PIWI can be offered in a group setting within a homeless shelter, domestic violence program, at an agency, or in the community. They can also be offered one-on-one with a parent and Parent Promoter at an agency or in a home.

Offers many programs and services which focus on children and preschoolers, with as a special collection of books just for kids, story hours, arts and crafts, reading clubs, and parent/child activities.

Offers a renovated section of the library for children and teenagers with a variety of fun and educational programs to promote reading, including reading clubs, story hour, tumble books, online resources, puppet theater, and more. Also provides a special collection of books for parents of children with special needs.

Provides programs for children to promote reading, such as story hours, arts and crafts, parent/child activities, and more.

Offers a variety of age-based groups for parents and their children, 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months. Each group focuses on the different stages of infants and toddlers and activities are targeted to enhance development and support the parents in the new stages of life. Caregivers and grandparents are encouraged to attend if they are caring for the child.

Provides a fun, interactive space for parents/caregivers to play with their children, connect with other caregivers, receive parenting support, and gain strategies and tools to address a variety of parenting challenges and improve communication with their children. Other services available are detailed below. Family Enrichment: Works to strengthen caregiver/child bonds and improve early childhood development through play, family engagement, and early literacy skills. Provides tools and strategies to address a variety of parenting challenges. Family Partnership: Family partners are present to listen, offer support, and assist in linking families with services and resources that would be most beneficial to them. In-Kind & Financial Assistance: Financial assistance and other supports may be offered to families on a case by case basis and as funding allows.

Provides a friendly, supportive atmosphere through enriching group activities. Offers a place to share parenting experiences and new ideas, celebrate the joys of motherhood, foster respect and tolerance for individual choices, and strengthen and empower families and community. Offers weekly play groups and children's activities as well as a monthly newsletter.

Promotes positive interaction between moms/dads/caregivers and their children through twice weekly participation in activities including play time, singing and movement, snack, making projects, parenting tips, and education about community resources/entitlements. Call for further information.

Programs and services include, but are not limited to, topics such as immunizations, book discussions, story hour, arts and crafts, and Parent/Child Workshop.

Offers: Parent/Child Gymnastics program for children ages 2-3 1/2 with parent, Tots Gymnastics for 3 1/2-5 years old, and Munchkin Gymnastics for children ages 5-7 years old, each in four once-weekly sessions. Conducts age-appropriate activities. Also conducts Gymnastics Camp for 8-18 years old at all levels of experience. Provides instruction in all phases of gymnastics. Operates four camp sessions, each two weeks long, Monday through Thursday. Call for more information.

Provides play-based learning opportunities to families. Includes creative play such as dress-up, play dough, painting, and building blocks; and a gym at HFRC for more physical play featuring climbing structures, basketball, and riding toys where children can develop school readiness skills.
