JEWISH ROOTS | JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE OF ORANGE COUNTY

Our Roots Program is designed to enhance connections and celebrate tradition among Jewish adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We encourage non-Jewish individuals to attend as well. Through social, cultural, recreational, and educational programs that highlight Jewish holidays and traditions, we help foster a sense of pride and belonging within the Jewish community during this seasonal program. SENIOR CLUB SERVICES | ORANGETOWN NYACK SENIOR CLUB

Senior Activity Centers are vital hubs of social interaction and engagement, offering a wide array of activities and resources to our members. From socialization and camaraderie to recreational pursuits and educational programs, our centers provide a diverse range of options to cater to different interests. Our event calendars are packed with exciting opportunities, including exercise programs, guest speakers on various topics, musical entertainment, board games, cards, bingo, book clubs, shopping excursions, and local trips. Door to Door transportation is available. Participation is open to all 60+ years, regardless of economic circumstances, as there are no fees for access. While suggested donations of $4.00 per day for lunch and $2.00 per day for transportation are encouraged, no one is turned away for inability to contribute.

SENIOR CITIZEN CLUBS | SMITHTOWN SENIOR CENTER

Provides a variety of Senior Clubs throughout the town of Smithtown. These clubs are: Club Moriches, Country Club, Fort Salonga, Fresh Start, Indian Head, Jericho, Kings Park, Mayfair, Mills Pond, Nichols, St. James, and Sunken Meadow. Clubs meet on scheduled days, although club names represent the area in which they meet you are not restricted to any specific club as long as you are a resident of Smithtown. A club leader assigned to each Club keeps members informed of activities, trips, programs, current legislation and county programs.

Council for Older Adults in Niagara County - HANCI

Acts as a hub for more than 40 senior clubs and centers and offers a clearinghouse of valuable information. Distributes materials and links seniors with other agencies that can help them. Activities include educational workshops and conferences, recreational and cultural events for seniors, telephone information and referrals, photo identification program, programs to encourage advance care planning, an informative cable TV show, "Young at Heart", and community partnerships to promote wellness and fitness. Provides daily hot meals in a social atmosphere. People can also opt to order frozen meals to take home. After school program offered for youth during the school year and 6 week summer camp offered when school not in session. Additional services include a private book club, bible study, exercise group, licensed daycare, community resource information, line dancing, and daily activities for seniors.
