VOLUNTEER PROGRAM | BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF OYSTER BAY - EAST NORWICH

Provides a Volunteer Program running from September to June. Teen members in grades 6-12 may volunteer after school and/or on Friday evenings helping at the Learning Center, with homework help, assisting with sports programs in the gym or with a specialty class or program. Adult volunteers assist with office work and data entry Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Call for details.

Scouting | Boy Scouts of America - Allegheny Highlands Council

Provides opportunities for scouting to all boys and young adults in the counties served and support all units, and their volunteer leaders. Council is made up of all the chartered organizations and their volunteer scouters. Offers Cub Scout program to boys and girls, kindergarten through fifth grade. Offers Scouts BSA program is for boys and girls in sixth grade to age eighteen. Offers co-ed Venturing and Exploring programs which provide opportunities to experience career exploration in specific areas and high adventure for youth 14-20. Through an extensive on hands stem program we provide learning opportunities to youth through scouting for character development, citizenship and leadership training.

The organizations serves over 600 children from kindergarten through high school in the North Shore School District. Services provided included after school program called the Canteen, live bands shows known as the Rock Lobster, and Artist Cafe, a seven week summer sports and recreation program

Youth programs include indoor soccer, flag football, girls and boys basketball. Red Cross swim lessons are also offered for youth. Adult recreation options include weight room, gym, and swimming. Classes for swimming, water aerobics, and arthritis swim are also available.
