Comprised of Chenango County youth, ages 12-17, who work toward developing a strategic plan to create positive change for our community's youth. Youth discuss and advocate for programs change and adjustments to better engage youth.

The program' s goal is to increase resilience and pro-social behaviors. A Parent's Guide to Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior (CDAB) is the only parent training program that addresses the MOST destructive of adolescent behaviors. With a focus on improving both school attendance and performance. Zoo Education Volunteers (Docents) help to guide tours, spotlight animals, and educate the public about environmental issues around the world and at home. Gardening volunteers maintain the gardens on site. Special event volunteers assist with various tasks during the zoo's fundraising events throughout the year

Coordinates disadvantaged youth to give back to their community.

To enhance residents overall quality of life by offering individualized activities tailored to mutual areas of interest between volunteers and residents. Volunteers help wheelchair residents to Sunday services on campus. Volunteers visit with residents.

Volunteers are the backbone of the YMCA. At all levels, volunteers contribute valuable resources of knowledge and talents to help our association carry out its mission. Whether your talents and interests are in sports, special events, or fundraising.Opportunities starting at 13 years of age through our teen swim assistant program and camp counselor in training program at 15 years of age.All Volunteers over the age of 18 years old are required to pass a background check.

Volunteers needed for toy shop, soup kitchen, and bell ringers at Christmas time.

A county-wide youth engagement program that teaches junior and senior high school students about Chenango County and the needs of the community. Participants become more aware of their surroundings and community, gain an understanding of volunteerism and the impact it has on society, and learn about fundraising and the ongoing challenges nonprofits face.

Offers activities for students like air hockey, pool, ping pong, foosball, board games, Xbox, and Wii. Provides opportunities for students to participate in community events, doing community service, and helping out zone events, and fundraisers.

Tuition-based general and special education preschool services for children 2 1/2 - 5 yrs. Reasonable rates, nurse on site, playground, nutritious snacks and field trips. Universal Pre-K program for children residing in the Johnson City, Binghamton and Union-Endicott School Districts

Provides comprehensive youth services to all youth in Schenectady County.

Hands-on museum participation allows children (and adults) to create their own learning experience and encourages new discoveries about themselves and their world. Memberships available. Birthday parties, scout snoozes, and meetings can be arranged. Gift shop.

Offers middle school and high school students a fun and safe place to hangout after school. Youth get assistance with homework, are provided a healthy snack and evening meal, participate in unique learning activities, go on field trips, hear from dynamic speakers, and volunteer in the community.

Girl Scout troops meet based on grade level: Daisies (K-1st); Brownies (2nd-3rd); Juniors (4th-5th); Cadettes (6th-8th); Seniors (9th-10th); Ambassadors (11th-12th). Program features national, outcome-based activities that give girls the specific knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will make them leaders in their own lives and in their communities.

Provides a wide range of supervised outdoor and STEM activities aimed at building leadership skills and self-esteem. Also have available summer camp opportunities. Girls can join through troops, camp, single events or multi-week program series.

Offers a positive alternative to children who reside in a high crime neighborhood providing recreation/arts and crafts, homework help, community service opportunities, and life skills programs.
