A program which aims to encourage youth to engage in healthy behaviors early in life that reduce preventable chronic diseases, unwanted pregnancy and the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases. Teens (grades 9-12) enjoy opportunities to meet new friends, stay fit, develop leadership skills, engage in Jewish life and learning and participate in community service. Volunteer opportunities are available in a variety of programs after school and on the weekends. The Teen Services Center also has numerous academic test prep offerings: SAT, PSAT, ACT, and Regents review with NYS certified teachers.

Youth who participate in 4-H find a supportive environment and opportunities for hands-on or "experiential" learning about things that interest them. They also get confidence, compassion and connections with caring adults to make contributions to their communities.

Offers church sponsored youth program for grades 5-12. Each week is an alternating time either at 10:15am or 5:30pm. The 10:15am meeting is at the church in Room 2 and the 5:30pm meeting is usually an outing. Please call for details.

Offers a variety of adventure trips for teens to make new friends, try new things, develop life skills and have fun in a dynamic and safe environment. These trips strive to create a community where everyone can gain leadership experience, acquire new skills and build healthy relationships with their peers and leaders.

Jointly funded by United Way of L.I. Provides an opportunity for children 7-12 years to attend a Hunger 101 Workshop and Community Service project. Children must attend with parent or teacher. Accommodates groups up to 20-25 students and 4-5 adults.

Provides leadership training, character development, citizenship training and personal fitness for young men. Day and residential camps are available.

Provides safe after school programming for 4th - 12th grades, including youth development programs during out of school hours, homework assistance, career exploration, community service, crisis intervention, and social and recreational activities. Dinner and snack are provided at no charge.

Zoo Education Volunteers (Docents) help to guide tours, spotlight animals, and educate the public about environmental issues around the world and at home. Gardening volunteers maintain the gardens on site. Special event volunteers assist with various tasks during the zoo's fundraising events throughout the year
