To enhance residents overall quality of life by offering individualized activities tailored to mutual areas of interest between volunteers and residents. Volunteers help wheelchair residents to Sunday services on campus. Volunteers visit with residents.

Funded by the Tompkins County room tax to improve landscaping and appearance of places likely to be visited by tourists. Seasonal program staff and "Beautification Brigade" volunteers plant and maintain planters on and near the Ithaca Commons and roadside gardens in high visibility areas. Also distributes funds to rural Tompkins County towns for their own beautification programs.

Offers programs to help sustain agriculture including information and support where possible in managing pests, pollution prevention, waste and water management, animal husbandry including dairy and livestock production, beekeeping, field/crop management, grape and vegetable crop production, farm business management, and forest and wildlife management.

Volunteers may provide transportation to essential services and appointments, run errands, assist with grocery and personal shopping, or pick up prescriptions, plan a regular phone visit or home visit to provide friendly and supportive listening, prepare/deliver a weekly meal or treat, perform general yard work or light housekeeping, and/or provide respite for caregiver.
