The Neversink Fire Department is run entirely by volunteers and offers emergency services, fire prevention training, CPR training and volunteer opportunities to Sullivan County Residents.

This program trains teenagers in CPR and First Aid, with some becoming New York State Certified First Responders. Members of the Ambulance Youth Group, perform Standby's for various activities such as the Grange Fair, Fireman's Carnival, Walk-a-thons, and Sporting events. When members become 16, they can ride on the ambulance alongside the regular duty crews.
