Offers an after-school program and full day child care, during school vacations including the summer, for children ages 5-17 residing in the Town of Hempstead. Homework assistance is provided by volunteers with an emphasis on reading, expressive and receptive language skills, mathematics and concept development. Recreational activities and snacks are provided. Collaboration with local schools is encouraged by the program coordinator and bilingual staff.
