A variety of volunteer opportunities exist including food rescue volunteers who assist in the delivery of surplus food from commercial food donors to member agencies, special events volunteers, office assistants, and volunteers to help with educational and community programs, including Speakers' Bureau. Special volunteer projects are available for groups, students, adults, and corporate employees.

CHOW VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - BROOME COUNTY COUNCIL OF CHURCHES | BROOME COUNTY COUNCIL OF CHURCHES
Volunteers to help with food collections, Hunger Walk and fundraisers. Also volunteers serve at 30 pantries throughout area. Pantry volunteers are asked to fill out monthly paperwork and attend one meeting/month during business hours.

The Food Bank also has a number of direct service programs that fight hunger including the BackPack Program and Mobile Food Pantry. Located in Elmira, NY the Food Bank is a regional agency of Catholic Charities and a member of Feeding America.
