Provides treatment services which may include emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance in a variety of counseling settings and approaches for individuals who are having difficulty in coping with a traumatic experience or in making the adjustments that are required by their particular stage in life. Clinic services include initial intake screening within the next business day and same day Urgent Care intake screening; comprehensive behavioral health assessment, screening, and monitoring; individual, couples, family and group therapy settings; and psychiatric evaluation which includes medication therapy and medication education and family support and education. Also offers to clients symptom management, support, case management and crisis intervention with face-to-face outreach and complex case management as needed. Provides behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder) screening; developmental testing; psychiatric rehabilitation readiness and referral.

Contracted by Chemung County to provide services for child, adolescent and adult residents with acute and persistent emotional and mental health problems through NYS OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic services. Programs support emotional, social, and mental health promotion, psycho-education, and recovery. The clinic offers early intervention prior to onset of chronic or severe psychiatric problems; seeks to prevent hospitalization or re-hospitalization; and offers community education and consultation services for clients, their families, and the community. Services are prioritized for children and adolescents identified as Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and adults identified as Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI).

Evaluates and treats children in the inpatient unit, aged 5-13 years, for emotional and behavioral problems, using short term stays (1-12 weeks). Provides individual/group counseling, drug screening, family counseling, family support groups, assessments, medication review and management, and treatment planning for teens using and/or abusing alcohol or other illegal substances. Appointment required. Must have available transportation.

Offers divorcing or separating couples an effective and humane alternative to the traditional adversarial process. With the help of a trained mediator, couples in mediation work out their settlement based solely on the needs of the couple and of the children. Process seeks to explore options for both the husband and wife. Areas of mediation include parenting responsibilities (access, custody, support), distribution of marital assets, spousal maintenance (alimony), and any other relevant issues. Mediation process includes an initial consultation followed a limited number of bi-weekly 1 hour - 1 1/2 hour sessions. The mediator prepares a plain-language Memorandum of Understanding which sets forth all the terms needed for divorce with the exception of legal language and signatures. The couple may then submit the memorandum to their attorneys, or neutral attorney. Call. Appointment required.

Focuses on mental health related programs geared towards the youth and their families. The goal is to provide support and educate the participants on the importance of mental health. Activities include: Youth Support Group for high school students hosting gatherings with on-site trained counselors to provide support and guidance, Virtual Mental Health Education presentations in partnership with NAMI Westchester, and more.

The Adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) provides comprehensive evaluation and intensive, short-term treatment to adults 18 years of age and older with acute psychiatric illnesses including psychosis, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. The program functions to avert or shorten inpatient hospitalizations, providing a structured, supportive environment for those who can live in the community and can be treated outside of the inpatient setting. The program is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners in psychiatry, social workers, psychologists, nutritionists, and occupational, recreational and creative arts therapists.

A 8-hour program in 2 sessions that teaches the anger cycle, triggers and cues, anger reducers, changing perceptions, communication, and replacement behaviors.

Provides skills, education and other services to help individuals with psychiatric disorders to transition from hospitalization, or long term illness back into the activities of every day living.

Provides individual groups and family counseling. Offers crisis intervention services, and referral to gay/lesbian youth or youth with gay/lesbian family members.

Peer support for individuals and families struggling with substance use disorder. Peer to peer engagement, linkage from the hospital or community to treatment and support services.

Provides telephone outreach on behalf of family and friends concerned about a person who might be depressed and/or suicidal. Counselors will contact the potentially suicidal client to offer counseling, assess the situation, and offer appropriate assistance and referrals.

Provides treatment and support for adults struggling with opiate addiction, with assessment, counseling, residential treatment, relapse prevention, and treatment discharge planning.

Provides 24 hour supervision at local community sites for adults with mental illness. Services provided at each site are restorative services, symptom management, community living skills, information and referral, crisis management, medication education and monitoring, and community integration. Staff provides supportive assistance and instruction in daily living skills and use of community resources. There are ten residences located in Nassau and Suffolk County. Transportation provided to local day treatment services.

Provides support and structure for individuals experiencing behavioral/emotional challenges. Clinical services provided for 3 to 30 consecutive days and assists with transition back to usual living environment. Referral required. Program run in collaboration with SUNY Stony Brook-Department of Psychiatry/Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Supportive housing for individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.

Provides confidential HIV testing and prevention counseling. Also offers general counseling to individuals who may be stressed or overwhelmed with various issues.

Provides inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment services for children, adolescents and adults.

Provides acute, intense, short-term, inpatient psychiatric treatment to adolescents ages 12-17. Aims to achieve rapid stabilization to make possible ongoing treatment in a less restrictive setting. A variety of behavioral and emotional problems are treated including anxiety disorders, mood disorders including major depression, bipolar disorders and psychotic disorders.
