Provides an alternative to inpatient, psychiatric-related hospitalization through staff safe, supportive community houses to provide person-centered peer support and retreat for persons in emotional or near crisis states for up to seven days. Guests self-refer, come and go as they desire, and have 24/7 access to peer counseling/support and education to assist through troubling times. Mobile response team also provided for Dutchess county. Hospital Diversion Houses have helped many people to regain wellness while maintaining independence in the community.

* Supports the bereaved through a network of peer mentors. Mentors are trained volunteer survivors who have also lost a loved one and are now supporting others.
This service allows people with disabilities to meet and talk with STIC staff who also have disabilities. Peer Advocates assist consumers to navigate the barriers they may face adjusting to a disability, or to finding solutions to everyday issues that they encounter.
