Provides outpatient services to individuals 5 years of age and older. Treatment for children and teens focuses on family systems. Areas of concern may be Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or the parent child relationship. Provides adult treatment for a variety of psychiatric and psychological disturbances including Depression, Anxiety and Panic, Bipolar Disorder, and disturbances of thought and perception (such as hallucinations and delusions). In addition, issues such as family violence, sexual abuse, and impaired interpersonal relationships can be addressed. Clinical staff is comprised of mental health professionals of Masters-Level training and Community Mental Health Nurses, along with access to the expertise of a psychologist and psychiatrists. Various modes of treatment are utilized and include psychiatric evaluations, individual psychotherapy, marital and family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, and psychiatric medication treatment. Treatment is supervised by a psychiatrist.

Offers fully integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment and services for children, adolescents, and their families. Residential treatment for boys and girls emphasizing a family-centered approach to treatment planning and services. Individualized treatment services include individual, group, and family counseling; education on campus and in community; psychiatric, psychological, medical, dental and religious services; activities and community involvement.

Walk-in center for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and in need of immediate help. Provides immediate crisis support, medication evaluation, and psychiatric and counseling resources. Provides support for people feeling distressed, anxious, sad, or depressed but who don't want to go to the ER or CPEP. The Help Center may be visited up to 3 times to bridge the gap between services.

Provides a comprehensive outpatient treatment program for individuals struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Also does public awareness seminars about substance abuse and the resources of help available.

Offers a 30-day psychiatric day program which includes individual, group and family counseling, recreational therapy, therapeutic socialization activities, emergency stabilization, medication, and a special education through Western Suffolk BOCES.

Residential program for youth requiring therapeutic and educational support, provides intense counseling and behavior modification to help further each resident to live as independently as possible.

In this supervised phase of the program, residents live in group homes. Trained counselors are on site 24 hours a day for support and assistance at these homes. A Young Adult Program is also offered to individuals ages 18-25. Residents who live in the supervised sites receive counseling, medication management, assistance with cooking and cleaning, food shopping, money management, and they participate in rehabilitative activities. Weekly community meetings give residents a chance to take an active role in planning house activities and to discuss any concerns they have about the home. The emphasis in this phase is to support the resident in acquiring basic living skills.

Provides adult day treatment, inpatient and partial hospitalization program for adults with varying types of mental illness.

Offers inpatient hospitalization treatment programs for adults who suffer from varying acute disorders such as anxiety, mood, and schizoprenic disorders, as well as, behavioral and personality disorders. Also offers Adolesent Partial Hospitalization program for individuals able to live in the community but require intensive psychiatric treatment and support.

Offers outpatient and inpatient mental health services. Provides individual, family, small group therapy, medication management, crisis counseling, same-day appointments, intake, linkage, and referral services. Inpatient services available for adolescents and adults with mental health issues. Offers outpatient chemical dependency programs. Provides group, individual, and family counseling. MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers) program, linkage and referral service, EAP liaison, intervention program, and DMV evaluations. Also offers diabetes education to help those with diabetes live a healthy lifestyle.

Residents 18-21 years old live in supervised group home and supported apartments. Skills training and support provided in all areas of daily living.

A peer-run crisis diversion center open 365 days a year. Serves individuals going through a mental health crisis or pre-crisis who prefer not to go to the hospital. Offers performances by an improvisational theater group which explores the myths and realities of mental illness. Features vignettes about family conflicts, stigmas, divorce, troubled teens, group homes, living with the mentally ill, suicide, homeless and more. Discussions are led by a professional mental health facilitator. Performances may serve teenage programs, senior centers, community groups, church groups, professional meetings, etc. Appointment required. Call for more information.

Provides a residential treatment center for children and adolescents who have a wide variety of emotional problems. Offers a comprehensive treatment, educations and supervised living program, which includes family involvement.

Rockland Hospital Guild provides residential programs for adults with hearing impairments and mental illness.
