Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are available for consultation and medication management for clients enrolled in therapy. Therapists specialize in providing counseling for people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, sexual abuse, adjustment issues, family conflict, school problems, issues related to divorce, adoption, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and other mental health diagnoses. Therapists are trained in evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Mental health services are also provided for adults and children who have a mental health disorder as a primary diagnosis and who may have a concurrent substance abuse disorder which is stabilized or in early remission. Collaborates with established OASAS licensed treatment providers to ensure that the mental health treatment needs of recovering substance abuse clients are met, to provide support for the clients' recovery process, and to minimize symptoms and the potential for psychiatric decompensation, psychiatric hospitalization, or relapse of substance abuse. Provides in-office and telehealth appointments--when clinically appropriate. All initial appointments must be completed in person.
