Provides inpatient units including a medical-psychiatric unit and an acute stabilization unit for adults, adolescents and children. The adult outpatient treatment includes a full range of services which includes group, family and individual psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, intensive long-term therapy and treatment with medication if necessary.

Manages psychiatric patients in crisis and arranges emergency admissions, when needed, through South Shore Emergency Department. Offers specialized care by psychiatric nurses and psychiatrist consultations/assessments around the clock. Participates in county-wide coordinated and regional system of psychiatric emergency services.

Please note: Due to the pandemic treatment may be provided in the main medical emergency room area and not the Access Center.

Provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults. Offers an outpatient treatment which includes crisis services for children, adolescents, or adults in need of emergency or urgent psychiatric assistance. Provides a children and youth outpatient clinic, adult clinic and residential services.

Provides an 23 bed acute psychiatric unit certified by the New York State Department of Health and the Office for Mental Health. It is affiliated with the University Hospital at Stony Brook, Department of Psychiatry. The unit serves mentally ill patients as well as mentally ill, chemically addicted (MICA) patients. Its interdisciplinary approach includes board certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, recreation therapists, and registered dietitians. It provides 24 hour nursing care by a team of psychiatric nurses and nursing assistants. The center follows a structured approach to allow for individual treatment. Therapies include medication management, individual and group therapy, family counseling and electro-convulsive therapy (ECT). Outpatient psychiatry is offered at 300 Atlantic Avenue, Greenport.
