Offers multidisciplinary treatment to children and adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa . Provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and plans individualized treatment program. Offers outpatient treatment involving professional patient monitoring nutritional counseling and individual and family psychotherapy. Also offers in-patient treatment, where appropriate, involving intensive treatment in a highly structured environment and a day program attended by patients 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, with treatment intensity comparable to treatment of hospitalized patients. Treatment approach addresses the biopsychosocial needs of patients.

Mental Health Clinic for Adults & Children - JFS of WNY

Provides mental health and psychiatric medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults provided by NYS licensed therapists. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are available for consultation and medication management for clients enrolled in therapy. Therapists specialize in providing counseling for people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, sexual abuse, adjustment issues, family conflict, school problems, issues related to divorce, adoption, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and other mental health diagnoses. Therapists are trained in evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Mental health services are also provided for adults and children who have a mental health disorder as a primary diagnosis and who may have a concurrent substance abuse disorder which is stabilized or in early remission. Collaborates with established OASAS licensed treatment providers to ensure that the mental health treatment needs of recovering substance abuse clients are met, to provide support for the clients' recovery process, and to minimize symptoms and the potential for psychiatric decompensation, psychiatric hospitalization, or relapse of substance abuse. Provides in-office and telehealth appointments--when clinically appropriate. All initial appointments must be completed in person.

EATING DISORDERS PROGRAM | NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL, WESTCHESTER DIVISION

INPATIENT PROGRAM: 17-bed unit for adolescents and adults who have anorexia nervosa, bulimia or other eating disorders. Program includes medical and psychiatric evaluation and treatment, nutritional and behavior counseling.OUTPATIENT: Intensive, short-term group therapy for those with bulimia, anorexia nervosa, and binge eating disorders, including individual and family counseling and Pharmacotherapy.PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION: Brief, 3-5 days per week ambulatory treatment alternative, provides a medically managed, therapeutic setting for those experiencing acute exacerbation of an eating disorder, or those who need a step-down or transitional program following inpatient care.

Provides effective treatment for eating disordered patients and their families, and specialized training for professionals who treat them. Aims to educate the community about eating disorders, and to provide information and outreach services. Also provides a support group for Friends and Family of those dealing with an eating disorder so they can share experiences, and learn from one another in a supportive environment. * Provides a supportive, structured environment for patients to assist with normalization of eating, stabilization of weight, and improvement in other psychological/behavioral symptoms associated with eating disorders. The programs can be used as a step up from outpatient care or a step down from inpatient care and can help shorten or obviate inpatient care.
